Excellence is executed here!
I really was impressed by the cleanliness and how well organized this place is! The customer service was amazing from beginning to end! The breakfast exceeded my expectations multiple options and I would even say restaurant style! Everything was so plentiful, organized, and clean! After a long flight this was a pleasant and rejuvenating experience.

Traveled w/ 2 adults, 2 kids.Staff was very friendly. Personally welcomed us back every time we came in for the night. Breakfast was cute, great for kids. Everything was well stocked. Coffee was fresh and piping hot, and area was clean and well maintained. Room had a full kitchenette with dishwasher, sink, dish soap and new sponge to wash dishes, mini fridge, microwave. Room with 2 queen beds was a great size for 2 adults and 2 kids. Lots of room for the kids to play and hang out. Couch has pull out bed which was clean and pretty comfortable if you're not picky. Sheets and pillows were clean. However headboards had some stains that either weren't cleaned or just truly stained. Bathroom was tidy, but walls and vanity could use some better deep cleaning. Sink was also a bit slow to drain. Shower was clean but shower floor had some stains, likely just due to wear and tear over time. And there was only a shower head so a bit tricky for smaller kids. Not sure if all rooms are like that. Room was well stocked with towels. Overall the room was clean and fresh with no lingering smells. Area around the hotel has lots of construction especially near the water heading into the tunnel. Just need to give yourself extra time if you're heading that way. Decent hotel for the price.

We arrived late in the evening due to ongoing rain. The agent who checked us in was professional and accommodating. After the experience with him we were expecting outstanding service throughout the stay. The heating unit in the room made noise all night the first night. The second night the guest above us were stomping on the floor until 2am. The next morning we were awakened by the same stomping. When we brought it to the attention of the morning attendant she proceeded to tell us nothing was recorded about our concerns and the house keepers reported the guest checked which she lied. This was shared once we contacted Hilton customer service. We discerned the agent was more concerned about debating the validity of our concerns than respectfully resolving the issues. Then we were told to wait 2 days for a response and have yet to receive one from management or customer service.

The only issue I had with the hotel was that I made my reservations thru Expedia and paid for my stay ahead of time. Everything being paid for ahead of time I didn’t notify the hotel that we were running late, my daughter is a Sailor in Norfolk and we were driving from South Carolina to visit her, we hadn’t seen her since graduation. We didn’t show up to the hotel until 3 am and were informed that our room had been given to someone else because we’re showed up so late, checking was at 3 pm. But with the room being fully paid for our 3 day stay I couldn’t comprehend this. My grandkids who were 6 and 1 were with us and everyone was exhausted after the 10 hour drive. I sat there and went back and with the employee who didn’t seem to be able to help and said that was there rules and since I booked with Expedia he couldn’t do anything that I would need to call them and they were going to charge me for the day. After a while the employee went out of his way when someone checked out but the room hadn’t been cleaned he told me to give him 30 min and he would go clean the room himself so that we can stay there since we could not find any other hotels. He went over and beyond to help but the hotel rules regulations on customer treatment when booking thru Expedia is horrible.

GREAT EXCEPT HEATING SYSTEM WAS INDECIPHERABLE
I arrived late at night after a tiring flight. The air-conditioning and heating system was confusing (it seems like there were two different control boxes) and I never did figure how to get heat so the room was very cold and I slept with my coat on because I couldn't get warm. I didn't want to call the front desk because I was exhausted and didn't want to deal with a time-consuming manager. Can't you just leave printed instructions???
