This property is not cleaned up to standards at all! The towel smelled it seemed rundown and pool and amenities are closed so guest shouldn’t be charged for something they can’t use! What made me made the most is my room has a huge roach in the bed! My house doesn’t even have baby ones and I live in Florida! That is NASTY! When I complained about it the hotel did nothing until I called Expedia about it and they fixed for me! Sir find an exterminator!

Hotel should NOT have booked rooms during a complete renovation. The floors and ceilings were completely covered in plastic wrap and all light fixtures, or any semblance of hotel, was in disarray. Hotel room service came day one, then the next day only change was they gave us more coffee pods.

Pleasantly Surprised!
We were in town visiting family, and chose Costa Azul solely for the price. What a pleasant surprise!!! Rooms were clean and big! The hotel had some construction going on, but kept it very tidy and quiet. They have a light breakfast which was nice. Also there’s a coffee maker in the room. We will definitely stay here again!

The front desk was not helpful. We called asking for connecting rooms and was told they would help us when we arrived at the hotel and not to worry. We arrived was told they could not accommodate us because there had no connecting rooms or rooms anywhere near the two reserved. Spoke to multiple people at the front desk and no resolve. Our family which was asked to be together was on two separate floors. Place was going through renovations which made it difficult to get to one end to another in the building.

Smelly hotel
The lobby of the hotel smells really good and gives you the impression that it’s a clean hotel. Don’t be fooled, the hallways to the room has an awkward smell and it expands to the room. The $30 that you might be saving while booking this hotel is not worth it. We checks out after 1 hour, and we told the front desk that the floor and room smells his response was ok. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

In our first room there were shot cups and panties under the table as soon as you walk and inside the room the AC was off for a few days forced to leave. When I checked out and payed at property they still charged me for an additional 15 days.

Reviews were misleading on Expedia as this place does not deserve a 8/10 rating. Stayed for 3 nights and every night there was some kind of incident outside with people out all night long screaming, doing drugs and making a scene. On my floor, there were people every night screaming and banging on doors, playing loud music and smoking marijuana in their rooms. Did not feel safe when I walked outside and staff did nothing to stop this. The hotel was also dirty, complimentary breakfast is disgusting and overall was a horrible experience. I guess that’s the reason why it was so much cheaper to stay here than other nicer and safer hotels!

Cleanliness needs improvement
Location and breakfast were good but I found the bathroom especially unclean. The floor lamp’s base was very dusty. There were hair on the sink and tub and since we travelled with a toddler and checked in late my family decided to just get it over with and not make any complaints on site. I hope that they would improve cleanliness.
