Pros: beautiful resort, very clean, great pool area, nice suite with kitchenette, plenty of free parking, super friendly staff, excellent free buffet breakfast. Cons: you had to cross the road to get to the beach, beach itself was very disappointing as it was rocky with very course sand. Go south half a mile and the beat was beautiful. You can also go north about a mile and the hotels were literally on the beach with lots of restaurants and nightlife. The embassy suites would have been wonderful had the location been better. I thought we were going to be on the beach, but in reality we had to pack up our beach bags and drive somewhere to have a true beach day. My fault for not researching a little better. There was also a building of some sort, looks like mid-rise condos being constructed directly across the street on the beach. So there was construction noise, and fenced off beach access. Overall, the hotel itself is great, but I would not stay here again because of the location. Good to know: everywhere on Aruba took US currency. However, the hotel had no ATM. There were no ATMs nearby, finally found one that was working at a nearby casino. It was hard to use the cash inside the Embassy suites, because they could not change large bills. So bring small denomination cash with you!

Well our shower drain didn’t work and the ac never got below 70 but the staff was amazing and the guest services and our pool waitress were as good as I’ve ever had. The lady at the pool was on top of it and she knew our drinks and answered all our questions and provided the best service . Taxi guys were exceptional as well!!!

Upscale hotel. Very clean. Nice personnel. Breakfast was good. Hot tub and pool were great. Free Happy Hour was a pleasant surprise. On the flip side, the "Beach Access" is 40 feet of course sand and rocks used by the local fishermen, so you have to walk 20 minutes up the shore to get to beach with soft white sand for which Aruba is known. Additionally, while I booked a Sunrise room, I was given a Poolside room in the corner by the spa with a view of only the veranda roof. When I inquired about it, I was told that it was because I booked through Expedia. Thankfully, we spent very little time in the room.
