This is a well-run Hotel. The staff are very good and accommodating which is exactly what you need after a long night travelling. no fuss. The continental breakfast is broad and tasty. It's also good value. It is an old Hotel and the cheap single rooms are small but the location and the staff more than make up for that.I only stayed one night as I was passing through Nice but I would stay there again
without hesitation.
My very first time visiting France in general and Hotel Busby didn’t disappoint! So close to everything and very safe for solo female traveler like me! Friendly staff, clean hotel and very walkable to all the famous attractions in Nice! Highly recommend!
Good location. Decent small hotel. Friendly staff. Room was small (as expected) but good enough (with in room bathroom & toilet). Price should definitely be lower.
Caution - the shower/tub is small & is an oval shape which makes standing in it very tricky. Easy to fall. It will be more difficult for older or larger people. Be careful.
The bathroom was small and cramped and looked like it came out of the 1960's. The hotel is old and dated and could benefit from some freshening up.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
If you are looking for somewhere reasonably cheap well located in Nice and are are not looking for perfection the Busby maybe a good choice, it’s near Alsace Lorraine stop on Line 2 Tram from the airport, <10mins walk to Nice Ville train station and around mins from the Promenade de Anglais, rooms were clean and I found the staff helpful. However I was in a room on the first floor facing the road and lots of road noise as windows have no soundproofing so take earplugs and although an attempt has been made to update the hotel it still looks v tired in places, in particular in the breakfast room one part of the ceiling was being propped up by a support jack but had been covered round in curtains presumably to hide it from being seen by guests, also some of the sockets in the room didn’t work, the shower whilst working was at a very low height even for a short person and was given the emergency key to the room safe to use as it seemed the pin pad was broken .So in summary if you are looking for somewhere functional near the centre of Nice and are not too fussy about the decor Hotel Busby is worth considering.
Hotel advertised as having air conditioning however after fiddling with the air con for the first few days we were told by the front desk that there was no air conditioning as they turn it off after the summer. It was 24 degrees in October and would have appreciated knowing what amenities were available when we booked or at a minimum at check-in so that we did not spend time trying to cool our room ie open doors close blinds. Location of the hotel is good but the hotel is quite run down and front desk staff were not helpful when we made inquiries.
Our room was the last room at the end of a long hallway. It was very clean - looks like newly painted with new wood flooring. The bathroom was terrible- there was jelly like blackish deposits on the shower tubing. There was a bidet and a toilet all jam packed in a very tiny small space. The hotel was conveniently located about 2 blocks from the main drag where all restaurants and entertainment. Will I come back? No. The bathroom was terrible. Continental Breakfast was ok. Staff were very nice.

Very good location. Short walk to the tram station from the airport. We walked everywhere from the hotel. Room is a good size. Tub is old style so very high, hard to get it & narrow. There were ants in the closet but we have been in the same hotel two years ago & it was not an issue. There were signs about prohibeting food in the room. Assuming it is something temporary due to people eating in the room. There is also a laundry place one block down. Will stay there again.
I was given a small and very dark room, so the second day I asked for a better location. I had to wait another day, but I was given a much nicer room for the remainder of my stay. The breakfast was good, and the common areas are very nice. It is in a convenient and lovely Art Deco neighborhood.
The hotel is in a good location but is an older type. Rooms still require a key for the door. Absolutely no food is allowed in the rooms so be aware.
It's a good place to shower and sleep and tackle your day
