Do not waste your time and money at this hotel . Water was dirty ,no soap in shower, no hot water in shower . Front desk was no help. Shameful to charge $70 for parking. Do not stay here

Have booked at this hotel 2x in 2025 hoping to have a good view of the falls. Well both times 3-4 hours before check in my reservation was “moved” instead of canceled. Well why have to option to reserve if you are going to cancel? Anyways the first stay at the Hilton I had no Cold Water and the bathroom ceiling was leaking . The second time they double charged me for parking and I’m still trying to get the mess resolved. Honestly I wouldn’t book another night with the Oakes , maybe 3rd times the charm? But I highly doubt it also fees on parking at the Hilton which should not be my problem!

I traveled with two kids, our first stay on the Canadian side of the falls. EXCELLENT, attention to details and very friendly service. We were lucky to have Oddy greet us. He was so kind and accommodating. We got a free upgrade from the 12 to the 16 floor. We had a beautiful view. Our room was clean, fully stocked with amenities. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were amazing and well kept and clean. The staff made sure things were working, towels were available. We got complimentary coupons to the many dining options, we ordered in and were able to keep left overs in the fridge. The next day we heated it up in the cozy and nice dining area. There was free transportation only feet from the hotel that took us down to the falls. I know some complain about the parking and $50 Canadian dollar fee, but in defense of the hotel, everyone charges parking. We went to Clifton the next day and parking garages all charge. There is no parking on the street, even the restaurants charge for parking. If you go to the Sky restaurant, they too charge parking $10, I recommend an Uber for $8. I would definitely stay here again.

The washroom was very, very small, it felt like I was in a stall, and the sink was outside the washroom so it was noisy if people were sleeping. There was no microwave in the room. There were no luggage racks to put open luggage on. We paid for later check out but our key was turned off early & so we couldn’t even get out of the parking lot (needed a key to exit!) to get back to the front desk so had to walk all around in the cold to get back to the front entrance. We had high expectations but probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Staff was great at check in. Filthy hotel, dated, cold hallways, cold rooms even with changing the temperature. Not worth the money they charge plus $50/day parking. Would never stay there again. Felt like a crime scene.
