I enjoy the charm and character of an older structure. Although it was old, it was inviting and comfortable. The view of the river was nice. The landscaping was upkept. The parking was a bit odd - but we managed. There were so many shops, restaurants, etc. that we could walk to, so it made our time there enjoyable. We were put in a room on the 2nd floor and a wedding was happening. It felt a little odd to be mixed in with wedding guests - so maybe a little more forethought on the part of the front desk when checking guests in that are not part of an event. Our room was very spacious - I think it could have used another sitting chair or a dinette table with 2 chairs. It felt more like a corporate man's room than a romantic couples getaway space. But it was clean and comfortable and charming.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, and spacious, impeccably clean rooms and baths make this quirky hotel a great place to stay when visiting Niagara University. I’ve stayed several times and especially enjoyed the river view king room. Be sure to enjoy the 2nd floor patio/balcony if the weather is nice (and no events happening). Nice breakfast options as well.

We had such a great time , everything about the hotel was wonderful except one thing . The walls were so thin that when we tried to sleep at night the people above us were creeking the ceiling felt like they were gonna fall through , & our room was right next to the lobby & there was some kind of event , there was people being loud all night . I think if the walls were more insulated it would have been better . Overall we had a great stay would still recommend

Falling apart - poor amenities. Cracks all over in drywall. Not even an automatic door to greet guests. Too bad, from the exterior it looks magnificent and is in a fantastic location. Just seemed very low budget.

I love the location of this hotel, the welcoming feeling when checking in as well as the efficiency and ease of the check-in process. What wasn’t as overwhelming was the condition of the room; it’s starting to show its age. There are cracks in the walls and the tiles in the bathroom are showing the need for some love. The air conditioner looks like it was put behind a hole that was cut in the wall, and the grate to let the air flow through, looks like it hasn’t seen a cloth in many months. I have stayed here before and I love my experience both times. I just feel like for the price I paid, details should be better attended to. I will definitely return because I love the area and I love the feel of the hotel.
