Paid $150 for the Magiquest game for 2 days for all my kids. The game was down over half the time and great wolf lodge never refunded us. Very disappointing

Don’t use Hotels.com

We Used hotels.com to book our stay. Daughter got Covid the day before. Decided to not infect everyone at the resort and cancel. Called Great Wolf and they said no problem, we could cancel but would need to call Hotels.com to get our refund. Hotels.com said they would need to contact GWL to see if I could cancel. Again GWL said it wouldn’t be a problem and thanked us for being respectful so we didn’t show up for our stay. Hotels.com contacted us the day after our stay and told us we would not be refunded. Disappointed children. If I would have booked directly with GWL it wouldn’t have been a problem. Avoid Hotels.com

Get ready for fun (and expenses!)

GWL is a great place for families. This is very much a family oriented environment. If you are looking for a getaway with your romantic partner or other type of trip without kids - skip this resort. Pros: The property is very clean, has a rustic vibe, and staff was constantly wiping down surfaces, picking things up, etc. Waterpark is great, well thought out and designed, Locker rentals are available for about $15 Canadian. Dining options are good, and expect to pay slightly more than you would at a typical restaurant. Opt to buy a dining package that covers 3 meals during your stay. Cons: This place is LOUD and BUSY. If you have a neurodivergent family member, be prepared for sensory overload. There is constant noise in the lobby, dining area, arcade, bowling alley, mini golf area, and the water park. There are LINES EVERYWHERE for literally everything, and because kids in those lines are deciding on what they want from vast selections, the lines move VERY SLOWLY. Even at 7:30am for coffee there was a line. Guest rooms are clean, but the beds are very springy and the sheets feel like paper - I did not sleep well!. If you think that paying for your room online at reservation time covers everything, you are so wrong. Expect to pay for extras at meals, extra for upgrades on stuffed animals or MagiQuest, and there's tons of other extra opportunities to max out your credit card if you have no backbone to say no to your kid.

Loved that everything was within the resort. Amazing water park, super clean, spacious room. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. The ONLY downside was the wait time at the non buffet food locations.

The place itself was great and I would highly recommend. The only thing I would not recommend is getting the rooms with the bunk beds - there is no air movement in the bunk room and the top bunk was SUPER hot and we had the room set to 66.

A very fun and unique location for all ages. The staff are incredibly patient and kind, ensuring all safety precautions are in place. We enjoyed the dinner buffet, which had an excellent variety of food. Our server was pleasant and accommodating to our needs. However, the hallways were loud at times, as early as 6 am. We will definitely return in the near future!
