The hotel is a lovely old building, full of character. The lady on reception was very friendly and we were pleased with our room. Facilities were very clean. Would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at the Shannon Motor in. Was a convenient location to visit my niece. With the microwave and fridge Woolworth's is across the street made it easy for meals. We had a great reception at checkin.

Place is a little dated, but exceptionally clean! We had a very late check-in at 10pm but was grateful that owner could help us. Our one and only point of improvement was the aircon in the room - it was an old one so it was a tad noisy. Apart fr that - our 2nd room stay for a family of 5 was great.

First thing to say is that the proprietors were excellent. Their service and friendliness made you feel at home with a speedy check-in and checkout. Rooms were spotless, a really comfortable bed and a choice of differant pillows to suit individuals. The room also had a couch for resting, which doesn't always occur in other locations. The bathroom could do with an update, however in saying this it was clean and functional. They are located midway between the CBD and Packington St. There is a bus stop outside if you need it. Next door is the Great Western Hotel with Woolworth on the opposite corner. A small group if takeaway shops as well as an Italian restaurant there. So if you are planning a trip to Geelong book a room stay a few nights. Its great value for money.
