I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-day stay … from the spacious room to the amazing walk-in shower … as well as the meals and drinks in Johnny’s restaurant. I also loved the Middletown location and the convenience of having a shuttle to/from town.

Property is beautiful and well maintained. View from out room outstanding. Free shuttle service much appreciated. Front desk could have been more helpful with suggestions of things to do, especially since weather was unseasonably cold and windy. Should have brochures listing places to go and things to do.

King bed was California king on king platform. There was a hard wood floor but no area rugs. Bathroom door didn't close and had no lock. No dresser to store clothes. No blackout curtains. Shower had no pressure and no door. There was no hot water in the morning for showering. The TV took forever to change channels and was blurry. Checked out a day early.

You’re treated and greeted by staff as if you’re welcomed and they are happy to see and serve you. Asking around , we discovered that this franchise is owned and operated by an old and highly respected local family in the hospitality business who still own others as well. It shows!

Our stay at the Wyndham Newport Hotel

The Wyndham Newport Hotel exceeded all our expectations!! It was a beautiful hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant, Johnny's, in the hotel was excellent. We also really enjoyed the salt water indoor pool. The free hourly shuttle into and back to downtown Newport was extremely helpful for us being that parking is very limited and traffic can be very bad at times.The drivers, Mike and Billy gave us a lot of valuable information we used during our stay.
