Area was safe to be at, hotel room was a little dusty throughout whole room, I chose the luxury room their was no luxury to it we got no outside view the pictures of room looked bigger than what it was. Theirs is no food options down stairs only drinks.

The staff was very accommodating. They were able to get us checked in, even though we were a little early and they happily stored our bags on our last day between checkout and our flight home. The bell hops made great recommendations for local restaurants. The room (king suite) was comfortable for two people. My daughter was amused by the door bell to our room. As it’s a historic building, the walls do not have modern soundproofing (we could understand the TV next door and hear a small dog barking in the room on the other side). With a 10 minute brisk walk to Grand Central Station, it was convenient to access public transportation. I do not remember reading there would be an additional resort fee upon check in ($100 for 3 nights), but I could have just missed it.
