This hotel was a wonderful choice. The lobby was comfortable to lounge in, and there was a shop to pick up snacks as well as a nice and spacious bar to have a drink and relax with friends. The location was convenient to many restaurants, Grand Central Terminal, the Morgan Library, and the promenade along the East River. The staff was always avaliable, helpful and friendly.

Front desk needs to improve their knowledge of attractions so they can help tourists who may need help. “Being told to Google things” is not great service and then I realized it’s lack of knowledge beyond just checking guests into the hotel. Bell hops/curb side luggage handlers became my “go to” for suggestions and advice during my stay.

Great stay, comfortable room, quant Tudor style. Excellent bar for a late night drink. I loved it. Until I went to brush my teeth and turned on the water. After about 10 seconds, and while I was in the midst of brushing, brown water came out. I reported it and they gave me a $40 credit for the convenience fee they charged me. I was expecting a bit more for the unsettling experience. If it weren't for that issue, it would have been a 5 star review.
