This was my first staycation in NYC, and unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. The hotel experience was subpar from the start; the hot water only worked after running for a staggering 45 minutes, and the room remained cold due to a broken thermostat. With only one out of the fifteen elevators functioning, it was a daunting task to get from the ninth floor to the lobby, often packed with frustrated guests. After requesting a move to the third floor, I was disappointed to find that the hot water issue persisted, and the room still lacked heat. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was told to simply wait longer for the water to warm up. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional $100, which felt utterly unjustified given the circumstances. This experience was far from what I expected, especially since I’ve never encountered such problems in other NYC hotels. It felt like a blatant disregard for guest comfort and safety, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: We loved that it was convenient. Cons: Only 1 elevators works and it is tiny. The first room we were given the thermostat didn't work and the room felt like it was a 100 degrees (we were able to change rooms).

We stood here a few years ago and was satisfied with our stay. This stay was nothing like that. Our room looked like it hadn’t been stepped foot in or cleaned in months. Our pillows were stained and dirty. Napkins and smoking papers next to the bed. Hairs around the toilet. We tried phoning the front desk to ask for new pillows however, the room phone did not work so, we had to go downstairs just to ask. Additionally, only 1 elevator worked and we were on the 11th floor. There were times we had to take the stairs after waiting 20 minutes for the elevator. This was a disappointing stay and it’s sad to see how this place fell off. I will not be returning.

A few things that I liked about this place was how it was close to Times Square and that there is a really good Thai restaurant next door. That’s it. The bathroom is really small. The shower doesn’t have a door; so when you use it, the water spills out near the toilet. I had to request more towels, but unfortunately there were no more towels until the morning. The ceiling had patches that were not painted over. The shelf in the shower was not very secure on the wall as it was tilting forward. The mirror had lights around it but unfortunately when we turn it on it was flickering. The shelf that held the safe in the closet was unstable and falling apart. Only one of the elevators were working at any given time and it is so slow. Some guests just chose to use the stairs instead since it was faster. There were just so many issues. For the amount I paid for I expected more, but then again I booked last minute and it was one of the cheaper options. But I would not want to stay here again. They need to renovate the rooms properly.

This hotel is really bad. We stayed 13th floor. There is 2 elevator both not working at all. Walking by stairs to 13th with 2 luggage . There is not help either front desk or room service Just rip me off $350 . Very disappointing

The aircon in room 42* gave us 3 sleepless nights. It’s noisy and it’s bothering us. The smell of the bathroom is not well maintained. The room is too small. No water area and the staff are not approachable.

They only had 1 working elevator and it was small. It could only fit like 6 people at most. If you had luggage’s it was less. So 1 elevator for 14 floors. My room had a massive roach in it as well. But the cleaning people were extremely nice and respectful.

Close to everything Times Square
I was very nervous considering all the negative reviews, however it was a very pleasant stay!! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, front staff was very courteous and efficient. As others stated the elevators are slow.. but we luckily were able to take the stairs and when it was time to check out we got an elevator with no wait with all our baggage. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend ear plugs as the outside noises are heard, the fire station is right next door… but I had no issues sleeping through it all. I’d stay here again as the location was so close to everything.
