Booked this place because it was more affordable than the other options with decent rating. The hotel was difficult to find at first, thought it was odd there was no outdoor signage. When we arrived the staff was not welcoming and seemed annoyed by my questions. The room itself was tight but nice. Parking was a few blocks away which was expected and the hotel gets what they called a discounted rate but paying directly through the parking place was actually cheaper unless the hotel staff gave us the wrong rate. The lack of clarity was frustrating and again even the next day when I asked a questions, staff seemed a bit annoyed.

The rooms are tiny, typical of Manhattan, but it was comfortable. There was no toilet paper when we arrived and it took some time to get any because they mixed up our room number. No other issues. Great location for restaurants and meetings.

I’m writing to provide a reference for “the 3 A’s” - Angelica, Anthony, and Aaliyah (hope I’m spelling her name correctly), as well as the hotel itself. This reservation was booked last minute (night before) to celebrate a special occasion. Having never visited the hotel, Anthony and Angelica were there to greet us, and fully explained the surrounding attractions, as well as the building amenities. For all questions and needs, the “three A’s” were all very responsive, in addition to simply being pleasant to deal with (they all smile). Being in the service industry myself, this goes a long way. Doing the job is expected - but doing it with a pleasant disposition is refreshing. The hotel is so ideally located. Quiet street, so no trouble sleeping. Clean lobby, clean elevators, nice common restroom on ground floor. Tons to do within a few blocks, and ready access to any subway to get anywhere in Manhattan. Felt safe walking around at night. Recommend the suite with one of the terraces if you can splurge a bit - the terrace was such a great escape. Didn’t get to try the gym unfortunately. The hotel offers some cool discounts to leverage if you’re staying local. Highly recommend, and would go back again in a heartbeat. Great team members make great experiences. Whoever owns this place should be proud of the staff.

Could be great but isn’t.
This could be a great hotel. The location in Fidi is excellent. It is very clean. They upgraded me to a king room, which was great. The issues: 1) there is a $30 per night amenity fee. This covers wifi, 2 bottles of water, and coffee. It basically amounts to $15 for each bottle of water. I did not get coffee as it is not in a convenient place such as the lobby or in the room. It is on another floor. The whole amenity fee thing feels like a scam. Not all hotels charge this. I don’t understand why hotels do this. The very first interaction that the guest has with the hotel feels like a scam. It makes you think you are stuck with it this time but will stay somewhere else in the future. Why not just advertise the real price per night instead of tacking on bogus fees? 2) my room was on the eighth floor. I got in late after traveling all day. I went to take a shower but couldn’t get the shower door to open. The door had a clear plastic skirt/caulking on the bottom. That was making the door difficult to open. It probably took 15 minutes to get the shower door to open. Once I got the shower door opened and turned on the shower I saw why they installed the crazy caulking at the bottom of the door. Water from the shower sprays all over the floor soaking the bath mat. There must be a better way to configure the shower. I have never encountered anything like it. I travel to ny several times a year. If this hotel would drop the junk fees and fix their shower.
