Property conditions are good! Location is great! The only inconvenient was the poor cleaning in the room. Should be controlled and inspected better. Looked like nobody cleaned that room after previous guest.

The check-in process at the Sheraton Times Square was terrible! It took us one hour and fifteen minutes to register.There was only one staff member working for the main line at the registration desk for the first hour.We arrived at 3:45 and didn’t get to the counter until 5:00.When we arrived back at the hotel after the show we saw at 10:35,there were at least 50 to 60 people in line waiting to be registered.They are woefully understaffed at the front desk at all hours it seems.

We first arrived around noon to find the check in line had about 50 people. After 30 minutes of no movement we left so we could get to our show ontime. When we returned at 10:30 we were told our reservation was cancelled. . This was a prepaid reservation. When i protesed i was finally told that i was being bumped to another hotel, because of my room type. And that I would be fine because the other hotel is "luxury." But at the same time the person next to me at the counter was given the same room type that I had paid for! Then I was told that the problem was that i had not checked in earlier. The person at the counter was very unpleasant. They then just walked away and didnt come back for 20 minutes! Eventually we were able to talk to the manager. But were still bumped. We were sent to the Luxury Hotel on 54th. Very nice hotel. But they also did not have the room type we paid for. They did upgrade us to a lovely room even though it was a king instead of 2 doubles. The Luxury is very nice,the staff was wonderful. I will not go back to the Sheraton again even though I have stayed there for 30 years.

We waited an hour and half in line to be able to check in at 9;45 at night. One employee at the desk, who was working his butt off. He was kind- but he also said that this is a common occurrence. In the morning we checked out, and mind you this is in time square an international audience is to be expected. The lady checking folks out was working with a guest who clearly didn’t speak English, but she just wanted to know about the room charges. While both were frustrated, the person who worked at the Hotel screamed “ I’ve already told you ten times..” When she was a paying guest in a tourist area, use thinking skills. Get out a gooogle translator, do what you can for the guest in our country. I was so embarrassed for how overwhelmed and sad the woman (guest) looked. She sat down and cried by herself. It was just a terrible experience overall.
