Conveniently located in Times Square, but very noisy and crowded. Even the lobby is crowded. Renovations are going on, so Lobby’s are small, the restaurant was closed and seating was small.

Great location, but noisy. Room and bathroom especially, dated. Thin walls. Tried to call the front desk at 3:30 am a few times to report a noise issue and there was no answer. Very disappointing. We won’t be staying here again.

Great stay in a clean, perfect location

The Renaissance hotel is located in the perfect place, in the heart of Time Square, there is a bakery next door, its easy accessible to every lots of shopping and restaurants in each direction. The room was very clean and spacious for a New York City hotel. It had a couch at the window, with a beautiful Mosaic tile shower in the bathroom. I enjoyed the room, location and ambiance. The only con is that you have to take 2 elevators to access the street and check-in desk. The elevators run fast though, it took 30 seconds to reach the 12th floor.

Chose this property for its high Expedia rating. Booked a promo through Expedia where I was to receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine during check-in. Was told at check-in that it would be in the room, it was not. I was told to contact the concierge, and after several attempts at visiting the desk and calling on the phone I gave up. Clean, comfortable room for NYC. But despite seeing no other guests on the floor I got a room with a poor view on the backside of the elevator shaft. The lobby area is under construction and the lobby elevator broke during our stay requiring fire department to extrication of other guests. Stayed at the W last year, and Hilton the year before, these are better options.
