Ok hotel, good location
Great location if you’re in town for a Broadway show, Carnage Hall or like to walk to Central Park. The hotel is ok. It was extremely crowded when we were there and there were issues with elevators. If you don’t mind taking the stairs - do, they’re kind of fun as far as hotel stairwells go. The room heating system is old and very loud. Worse, it was impossible to control - it would turn itself off and sometimes when you would set it at a certain temperature it would go up completely on its own. The staff were friendly and helpful (we did not complain about the heating system - figured it was pointless). If you’re planning to spend most of your time out and about, this place is fine.

Beware the Destination Fee!
Room was clean and comfortable, if rather small for two adults. When we needed maid service on our weeklong stay, we were able to get it. But most NY hotels now charge a "destination fee" on top of the quoted price of the room about $20-30/day, which they do not disclose at the beginning and doesn't show up on the price quoted on Hotels.com--so you are in for a rude shock when you check out!

Our bathroom was not cleaned. The shower curtain was soured and stained. There was a used razor in the shower. No hand or wash towels. Hotel did provide towels upon request but they did not clean the bathroom.

We’ve been staying at Park Central for a few years now and we’ve steadily noticed a decline in the installations and service. When we checked in the front desk lady was incredibly rude and had a hard time answering basic questions. I hope they train their personnel better and start to give proper maintenance to their rooms

Would stay again, hotel was clean, beds comfortable, great location. Felt safe, easy access to subway. Two complaints- room got very hot at night, unable to adjust thermostat, but we cracked the window, let it cool off and closed it back bc the street noise is a lot (New York never sleeps) - only 2 working elevators for 20 floors, often had to wait for elevator

The location of this hotel is great. But our room was so disgusting. We've never stayed in worse place. Couldn't sleep here either, the heating unit was extremely loud. Everything in the room was so beat up and unclean.

The lobby of the property was wonderful but our rooms were super dated and beat up. It’s very convenient and the ability to park close by at a discounted rate was a bonus. The biggest issue I had was their check in process. We came in earlier and pre registered and were told we would get a text when the room was ready but check in was at 4. We went in with our day and came in after 5 to an extremely long line of 30 (line was going out the front door) folks trying to check in and with only two folks working the counter. Even though I previously checked in I had to stay in the crazy line. When I got to the counter I was told they over booked the room we paid for. They ended up getting us situated but only after a bunch of back and forth. I know we were there during the busy holiday season but for a hotel that size I would expect it to be better staffed and prepared. That made it very stressful.

For the most part hotel was decent. The elevators were horrible. Even housekeeping let us use the service elevator because they knew how bad the elevators were. When we got to our room there was a piercing noise coming from the bathroom. No way to call the front desk so called housekeeping said they would get someone as soon as they could. Waited for a bit then call maintenance they came up about 20 mins after we called. Rotted the toliet and then had to come back to change something in the tank to stop the noise. Remote didn’t work, nobody ever fixed that.
