The hotel staffs were very friendly and kind. The room looked like renovated a few years ago but not like a new building. Bathroom looks clean and nicely renovated. Overall it was nice stay. Seaport area is nice area to stay. Everything is pretty close.

Location, ambiance and coffee all five stars!

This hotel is located near the base of the Brooklyn bridge with many great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful and the rooms very clean and well appointed. The set up for pour over morning coffee in the room elicited one of the downsides of travel--you did not have to give up great coffee when you stay here! We would definitely stay here again.

First time at the hotel. Suitably impressed by its location. It was a nice change from the more traditional big box hotels uptown. Love the “neighborhoody” feel. On the up side, aside from location, although we chose a smallish room (only there for one night), we liked the modern bathroom layout and, as many reviewers commented, the bed was super comfortable and the bedding was crisp. Total plus on that one. On the down side, the hotel is showing signs of real wear; the Alcove and our room in particular. The carpet was stained and obviously soiled. Friday morning breakfast service was slow with only one person to deal with capacity of 14 tables, 44 seats; there were 15 people and the young man was struggling. Also, hailing a taxi can be a problem because of its location. Easily fixed with downloading the Curb App, a book on demand or in advance taxi. A total turnoff was the $40 “destination fee.” When I inquired about it, I was advised that it was for “Complimentary water, tea, and coffee” and use of the hotel wi-fi. It was actually an irritating response because the very word “complimentary” literally means “given or supplied free of charge.” Two generic branded single serve plastic bottles of water, a kettle and the ability to make myself a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. That was it. For $40. Per night.

Great hotel for our family stay

Great stay at a lovely hotel. We stayed 2 nights being my wife and I plus our two teenagers. The hotel is very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel used to be a Mr C hotel and now it is under new management since the last time I was there and it is much improved - excellent access to coffee/tea in the am in your room, room service all day and the food is very good. The room was very clean - bed very comfortable and climate control worked well and not noisy. All in all a great stay - it is very close to family for me so a big plus. Staff could not be nicer or more helpful.
