Don’t Be Fooled By Cleanliness Reviews!!!!
The room that they gave me was disgusting. As soon as I came off the elevator it smelled like cigarettes. I walked into my room and every wall had some sort of mark or dirt on it that could’ve easily been spotted and cleaned by a cleaning crew. When I went to go take a shower both towels for drying had random hairs and stains on them that looked like the makeup or dirt from another person that had previously stayed. The light switch to control the room had dirty fingerprints like someone had ate food and then touched the lights. And the worst part was the bed. The pillowcases had stains as well as the bed sheets. I spent the entire first hour in my room just checking out the cleanliness of the whole room and attempting to clean behind the cleaning crew using clorox wipes and lysol, before finally giving up and asking the front desk to move me to another room. The man at the front desk said that their policy was that if you stayed in the room for an hour that you couldn’t be moved but he could get room service to my room. It wasn’t until someone else got on the phone with him and I started to express my frustrations that he moved me another room where the bedsheets were also stained. After feeling like the cleanliness wasn’t up to par and I felt uncomfortable even staying the night and left.

The staff at the front desk was so nice and friendly. The hotel is clean and very modern. Parking is free on site but limited. So far this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in NY, a lot of times hotels here don’t offer free parking.

I had a great time at LY New York Hotel. I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and ambiance of the location. The location was rather weird considering the warehouse areas and trucking around, however the hotel itself is pretty updated and nice. They can spend more time and consideration into cleaning things like microwave area and rooms.
