Staff was super friendly and helpful, including a security at the entrance which made entering at night hours feel safe. Easy access to public transportation, 1 minute from Times Square and all the excitement. Nearby restaurant, stores, etc.

This hotel is centrally located and was very convenient to get around. The hotel was clean and nice and the elevators were quick in speedy, though they were smaller than I am used to (which wasn’t a problem). The room was a lot smaller than any other room. I stayed in and we were shocked by the size of it. It worked for us as we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room, but it would never work for more than two people.

I'm torn on this hotel. I don't usually stay in Times Square, but we were there to see a few shows, and this hotel is very convenient to the theaters. The building is old which means slow elevators, low water pressure, and very hard to control room temperature. The room we had did not have good air circulation and the A/C did not seem to be working properly. We did alert the front desk and they sent someone up right away, which was much appreciated. The A/C kicked in, but then it was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep. The room might be best suited for solo travelers. While the room had the square footage, the layout was awkward with the bed taking up most of the room. There was not much storage space, so we were tripping over ourselves and our luggage. The staff were incredible, very helpful, and made our stay enjoyable!!

We liked how conveniently it was located. We walked nearly every where from the hotel plus a few subway rides. Housekeeping did a great job with keeping our room clean. Staff were friendly. The beds are not queen sized; more like a double.

Probably the worst hotel we've booked in NYC. We travel here often to see shows. The location was great. The room--not so much. We paid extra for the deluxe room. I would hate to see what the standard room looks like. The view. Awful. The "complimentary drinks" are mediocre (basic beer). The tub had rust in it and the water was either freezing or scalding hot. And there was a used tissue in the headboard. So gross. I never leave negative reviews but this was a major letdown.

Our stay was as expected. I wanted a good value close to Times Square and Aura was a good match. There are few amenities and the rooms are small. We spend very little time in the room and would rather be close to where we spend our time, especially during the evening. The Aura is within a block of Times Square and the place is very clean.

Great location. Air conditioner wouldn’t cool below 69 degrees. Have the Nest thermostats locked with key code. Had maintenance come, he used a hair dryer to unfreeze the unit and said it would be ok. Room never got much cooler throughout the night. No view. Visible water damage. No great space to open suitcase, ended up rearranging the room to be able to open it (without putting it on the bed).
