Very good stay at Aura. Location is super convenient. While our room is facing the back, which has limited view and light, it was very quiet at all times. Times Square isn’t known to be a quiet place. Our room was spotless and everything looked well maintained. The King bed is very comfortable and the linen is also very nice. Bathroom is functional and has good Molton Brown toiletries. Staff is very helpful. I ordered something from Amazon, the reception kept the package safe until I picked it up. The only very minor comment I will make is the shower curtain- it has an unpleasant smell. It’s not that it was dirty, it’s just the way these shower curtains are after being used for a while. Perhaps a more thorough washing or changing them more frequently would resolve the problem.

It was nice that it was super close to time square, so it was close to all the shopping places and food places so you didn't really need to walk far. Also close to subway stations. Only 4 stars because the rooms are not that soundproof and elevators were very small.

Great hotel but needs elevator key card readers.
Perfect location. Check in was quick. Asked for a lower floor room at booking but got the 9th floor. Windows looked out on the air shaft but honestly we ended up loving how quiet it was! The bed was wonderful. Foam mattress, smooth cotton sheets and nice pillows. I would recommend the Aura and I would stay here again. Only negative was that there needs to be a key card reader in the elevators so only guests can access the floors. If the counter staff are busy anyone could come in and access the floors. I've stayed in other hotels nearby and there have been staff monitoring elevators and key card readers in the elevators.

There was a pre-registration process online, which was fine. But there was so much attempted upselling (larger room, early check-in, late check-out) it was really off-putting before I even arrived. The room was relatively comfortable but very small. Just a bed (no chair, no desk) and a bathroom for nearly $400. Maybe 200 square feet. Machines didn't work in the gym -- they required a code to unlock, which didn't work. Times Square location was good for those who want to be in Times Square but I wouldn't stay here again. Experience not justified by the price.

The room was small but very clean. The thermostat was way too bright at night so we had to put a towel on top of it and it was STILL bright!! But the room was clean so we were happy with our stay. The bathtub faucet was dripping the whole time we were there but we couldn’t hear it since the thermostat brightness was taking up most of our attention. Loved the location! The lobby smelled like the Macy’s cologne section on steroids. But again, we’re super happy with the cleanliness and will return next time if the price is right!
