Annoying check-in, fun vibe, not great mattress.

I stayed for business. The people were fabulous but I did not appreciate the pre check in requirements and found it extremely annoying. The place was unique and fun. The rooms were spacious and I loved having a kitchen! The Murphy bed was not very comfortable but I love the concept.

The hotel is cool , I spent a couple days over there. The location is very convenient, but the little time there I tried to communicate with the front desk was not good. I think if I spend a couple days in the place, the cleaning service should be available and I was informed it wasn’t unless I just want change the towels,also I sent a notification by text asking if we could leave a a few minutes after my check out due solving some luggage issue no one answered it, so I left 20 minutes after and the woman from the front desk. Called me at first ignore because there was a number from Virginia I didn’t recognize, then I pick it up. This lady was telling me to leave while I was trying to explain to her that was getting ready to go she didn’t give chance and start talking together in Crossing in a very rude tone, when I went downstairs, she was playing cool smiling, but rather just leave a review over here I won’t to be back.

Everything was great except online check in -pre-check in was not very smooth as I had to re-enter my passport info at least 3x and the system didn’t recognize it. Otherwise the people (reception, coffee barista ) were very nice and the location and room were great!

Amazing staff, and equally amazing studio. I much preferred staying here than in many hotels. Felt very welcoming and the fact that they have an NBA Jam arcade in the laundry room - i'll be back!

We absolutely loved Placmakr! The area was fantastic so close to the Hudson and ferry’s and Brooklyn bridge. Subway close by. Walked all around the financial district which is lovely. Our room was enormous!! Definitely a cool spot to stay

Located right by the waterfront, I appreciated how quiet it was overall. Staff were courteous and friendly. Room was spacious and clean but noticeably worn with several broken fixtures. The induction cooktop didn't work - a main selling point for me booking here. The bathroom had no ventilation, the door struggled to open/close, and most window latches throughout the hotel room were broken. Their room service is not actually room service: you have to pick it up at the front desk. I'm not accustomed to the lengthy online checkin process after booking, and still needing to present ID at the checkin desk. Other than that it was a decent stay with many great amenities but I likely wouldn't return given the price.
