I requested an earlier check in and when I arrived it wasn't the room I was told I'd be given. I was then informed if I wanted another room higher up like I originally requested it would be a bit longer. That bit longer turned to 2 hrs of me wandering in the freezing cold of NY with a leg with nerve issues. I then come back because I was so cold my hands went numb then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes while the room was "being cleaned" so I was frustrated and left again. When I returned no less than 45 minutes later 2 new people were at the desk that had no idea of the previous arrangement. They begrudgingly gave me a room after I waited again. They also failed to mention a very loud group or convention of some sort was there which made walking through the lobby impossible. They were intoxicated and bothersome. On top of all that the elevators average waiting time was 10 minutes and once on it you went to every other floor except your own. TV wouldn't let me connect due to cord issues. Alarm clock didn't work. Water was colder than the weather and the sheets were stained so I slept in my clothes. Now I am most definitely feeling like I'm getting sick from it all.

The first night I had a freezing shower, after being out in a 12 degree winter weather. When I called the front desk they sent someone who explained that because of the winter we should have left the waterbrunning for 20 minutes before having a shower to let it warm up since the hot water came from floor 18 and we were in floor 4. I would have loved to know this beforehand. The staff accidentally gave the key to our room to someone else, and they got in our room while we were in bed. After that the front desk called to apologize. The day after, the front desk called us to ask if we had 2 rooms, which we didn’t, and asked if our things were in this other room. They seemed very disorganized and I got concerned that they would charge me for an extra room we didn't have. The TV was too old and crooked. Good thing about this hotel was location, breakfast, and quiet neighborhood. 3 out of 5

This property is a little out of the way but in a quiet neighborhood. It was very convenient to Lincoln Center, to and from which were easy walks. Check-in and check-out were easy. The rooms are typical for an NYC hotel room, with just a small locker for clothes and no drawer space. The bathroom also was small but the shower was very comfortable. A problem with a dead GFCI was taken care of very quickly. The full breakfast was a definite positive for this hotel but the dining area was very busy each day that we went there. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I would plan on staying there again on our next trip to NYC.

Easy walk to Lincoln Center . Clean nicely appointed rooms. You can hear your neighbors a bit too easily . Staff attentive . Bar and snack area very small and not staffed while we were when it was open and closes at 10 pm. One cup of coffee in room for two people. That said would stay again for value and location.
