Lobby is nice enough. Room is sad. Mold in bathroom. No hot water for 15 minutes then only warm. tub wouldn’t drain. Had to get a service person. Size of room good for NYC. Halls nicely renovated. Not the rooms. Pillows terrible. Look out on a brick wall. Wouldn’t come back.

Find a different hotel

The wallpaper was peeling off the wall everywhere and looked like one wall was peeling due to water damage underneath. Carpet even felt moist in spots. I wondered if there was mold under that wallpaper. I've stayed in many hotels and don't have high expectations. Just want a place to sleep but I have to say that the room was the worst room I ever had. The staff was wonderful, however.

Nice and safe neighborhood. Close to Central Park. Lot’s of restaurants and grocery stores. Hotel is comfortable and convenient. Room sizes are much larger than lots of hotels in NYC. Overall feel safe amd enjoyed the hotel.

To be fair, we paid for the “bronze” level room- and it was in major need of updating. So is the hotel. But the staff is nice, and it’s in a good area very close to the subway, and we felt safe. If I had more money to spend, I would have stayed somewhere else, but for a budget hotel, it was fine.

Very bad property , Icy bathroom. Its windows did not close well. The bed has blood in there sheet, very old elevators.

The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel and there were no counters. The bathroom had hot water once out of 3 showers. The rooms are very dated and didn’t have any USB plugs available. The location and friendly staff were really the only things they had going for them.

Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Very generous in accommodating a lactating mother with freezer storage. The crib was from 1970 but was clean and worked well. The curtains didn’t close so lots of light very early in the morning and the shower water temperature was variable. However room was decently clean, very spacious and extremely convenient with cafe 15 feet from the front door and close to subway station. Highly recommend

This is an old, basic hotel in Manhattan. We've stayed there several times and have always been pleased. Definitely not luxury but walking distance to some great restaurants, coffee shop across the street, reasonably priced, secure parking nearby. Room cleaned every day! Staff responsive to maintenance issues like malfunctioning toilet.
