The property was falsely advertised. It was so dirty and disgusting I booked another room at a different hotel and left. The room looked nothing like the photos, the bed was dirty, the carpet was stained and there was a bad odor.

A nice clean room with a large bathroom and nice shower. Recently updated. Quiet and a good value for NYC. Good public transportation access. Several issues - Bathroom had no soap in bathtub even after I asked the desk to please put some soap in the tub. Bathroom had a sizeable number of small black bugs. Modular closet was detached from wall and almost came crashing down on me when I opened the door.

Cannot get my receipt for expense report

I was unable after two calls to get a receipt for the incidental on site charges on my credit card. Both times the front desk person said they would email and both times they failed.

There were 6 light bulbs in the room, 2 of them worked. The room was dark and the toilet was running the whole time. The one chair in the room was stained and there were holes in the sheetrock. There were only two extremely flat pillows and the linens were lackluster

No key card given as lock was ‘broken’. Was expected to leave the room and be let in by staff as needed. This was unacceptable. Hotel interior not as advertised on websites. Shabby. Dirty. Window open and unable to close it so noisy and cold. Dirty towels left in the wardrobe. Felt creepy and unsafe.

Great location

Excellent location. This is a no-frills hotel, but we had a clean room, hot shower, and a comfortable king sized bed. This was inexpensive relative to most other hotels in the city and was perfect for us as a home base. The folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we had. We would stay again.

The amenities and comfort level of the room were lacking. The king bed i booked turned out to be two twins pushed together with a sheet covering them. The room was very dimly lit, and when we asked for an additional lamp, the one provided had no lampshade and was just an exposed bulb. There appeared to be no local television, just screen mirroring from your device, but the connection was not stable enough to stream. Very little storage/closet space, with no surface like a table or desk, limiting the options for eating, writing, or remote work. The lobby was very cluttered, cramped and dark like the rest of the venue. There weren't a lot of restaurants or things to do nearby despite its location on Canal St. Staff was very nice about everything, but I in fact ended up booking a different hotel after one night. No refunds so I just ended up eating the cost of switching hotels, which kind of sucked. I would say this is an extremely budget option, more so than I initially realized, and the accommodations feel very piecemeal and inhospitable, but the desk staff are friendly and considerate.

Great Location and Friendly Staff, but Not Fancy

The hotel is in a great location for getting around NYC. The neighborhood is amazing, with plenty of excellent Chinese cuisine and more. The hotel itself is decent—if you’re looking for something fancy, this might not be the place for you! However, the staff is very friendly and quick to resolve any issues.

Cons: Area around the hotel is extremely unkempt. Staff took 5 minutes to check us in. Staff charged us for the remaining balance of the hotel after the balance was paid online, elevator was extremely slow. Pros: Cheap, running HVAC, clean room

The bed was great! Sheets and blankets and carpet and bathroom clean. Staff friendly, and professional, room nice and quiet, heating worked well and was quiet. Lots of broken things or un repaired or hanging crooked. The shower did not work, only bath, fixture coming off. Extra surcharge at hotel for using Expedia.

I was absolutely shocked to be visiting this hotel from Toronto, and to arrive at a dingy dinky hotel, where there were marks all over the walls, a cockroach in my room, and some sort of mouldy smell throughout the whole building. The entryway is lined with boxes and garbage right outside the door And front desk has no idea what’s going on. This hotel needs to be a one star

Terrible hotel. Had mold and smelled terrible in the room. Didn’t stay there. Checked out 3 mins after checking in. Was told I would get a refund since no services were rendered.. that was a lie. Never got a refund or even communication from the hotel who also kept my money even though I never stayed and they told me they would refund..
