I found this property for pretty cheap, I know now why it was so cheap. The layout of the room is strange. The tv doesn’t face the bed and in our first room the entire window looked out to the inside of the parking garage next door. At night the led lights from the parking garage shined through the black out curtains. Literally felt like a jail cell. It didn’t match the listing photos or say there’s was an obstructed view. The toilet clogged easily in this room had to have maintenance unclog. I had two separate bookings so we were able to move rooms for the second night. The view from the second room was much better but this toilet also clogged wth. At check out be repeated to wait for your vehicle. Valet was nice but idk why they would insist everyone check out at 11 and not have the staff for it. The people ahead of us waited an hour for their car. While waiting for our car on morning one there was a guy shooting up drugs 6 feet away from us. I guess that’s why they say you get what you pay for.

Arrived at 8am told them i was on stanby to enter early paying a fee..they said they didnt have availability and didnt know anything of a standby fee...then after watinng 7 hours iin an out of other lobbys idecided to wait in their lobby one hour before and the lady manager said she could check me in.. I told her I'd wait the 45 min until 4pm. She insisted i check in. The gentleman said if your checking in before 4 were gonna charge you. Then argued back i said the manager said i could check in .ii had waited 7 hours id wait till 4. Then he said well if the manager said its ok then we wont charge you. Really. Then i get to the room and the next aoartment next door the people had screaming kids that wen on all night long . The next day..i aked the front desk that it was my birthday and if he could move me. He accomadated me.forthe following night. On addition, My room was never cleaned in my 4 nights i was there. No towels delivered or offered. I will never stay at you suites again. !!! Also, at both rooms I had to carry a stool so i could elevate my suitcase because neither rooms had suitcase racks.. one more thing. Your showers with half a wall suck. Had to dry the floor everytime i took a shower.

The first room we were given had a large machine in one of the closeted doors and made very loud noises so that we asked to be switched to another room. The new room also had that machine but didn't make much noises so we were fine about it, but the bathroom had very strong mechanical oil smell that we had no idea what the source was, and the ventilation had no effect or had worsen the smell. The warm water that comes out of the shower had very little pressure that the water was too little, but if we wanted more water coming out, we had to turn the heat further, which would burn our skin. So the only acceptable temperature of the warm water for the shower made the water extremely little that made the shower experience unpleasant and inconvenient.

Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans Downtown is a great hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly. Room is clean and big. Lots of amenities. Compare to other hotels in New Orleans, I do think this hotel holds the best value for tourists. (Airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel - Main Library stop)

They advertise a gym area, the machines are broken, and when we asked about them, we were told they had been broken for months. The air conditioning in our room was not working correctly. It was rather warm in the room, which made it hard to sleep well. The young man who parked our car was outstanding, and the young man who tried to fix the air conditioning was very nice. The ladies who worked the desk, not so much.
