Great hotel just outside the chaos of the French Quarter. Staff was very accommodating, and really added to the feel of the hotel. Simple things like having staff opening doors, and remembering our names made a big difference. Rooms had a nice mixture of modern features and vintage inspired decor.

Meh.

Hotel is great. I do think they treat guests differently if you book through a third party. When I book directly through Virgin, I get comp upgrades, better hospitality and various other perks. I booked through hotels.com because I had reward nights and hotel team treated me like a second class guest, and told me so, which is upsetting for luxury hotel.

The staff at the coffee shop in the morning was not welcoming, and the breakfast offerings were basic. I do not see the benefit of staying at this hotel over a traditional Holiday inn. The service was sub-par, nothing special about the stay and the concierge was unresponsive. For price point, you are better off staying at Loews or Hilton. It appears there is more focus on the product and decor than service.

Amazing stay. Only issue we had was the no complimentary bottled water for guests. I know this seems rather trivial but we believe hotels shouldn’t charge their guests for bottled water. We recently stayed at the Virgin hotel in Nashville and they provided their guests with bottled water in their rooms daily.

staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was exceptional first time staying at a virgin hotel would recommend. Property clean, staff was friendly, didn't have any recommendation for dinner they gave us a bunch.
