Can't wait to go back!

I planned a surprise birthday for my partner and this was where the group stayed. The hotel was great. They offered live music and it was nicely decorated for the Holiday Season. We arrived a couple days after the NYE incident and the staff did their best to make our trip memorable for our friends. Even though its a converted hotel, the rooms were really nice. I enjoyed our suite and it's furnishings. The beds were comfortable and they accommodated my feather pillow allergy with no issues.

Came for Mardi Gras and needed to find alternate parking and walk with all my luggage to the hotel. No one informed me that this would be necessary prior to my check-in day. Then no one answered the phone at the front desk when I tried to call. Also, had to wait for a text to check in and one was sent at 4:20 but I had already checked in at that point. The young man at the front desk was not very hospitable or helpful. Otherwise, this is a lovely hotel.

Good location. Valet personnel very nice. However, I probably will not be staying here again. My credit card was pre-charged before we even checked in, and when I did check in (I was there with my two daughters), I was informed that the room that I had booked - and was pre-charged for - was no longer available because of “overbooking” or something? I had reserved a large room with two queen beds so I and my daughters could sleep comfortably. We were instead given a room (oh, it was called a suite because it had a couple of chairs and an extra table in the room) with one king bed and a pull-out sofa bed. There were no linens for the pull out sofa bed and so I had to call multiple times to get them. And, the pull-out sofa would not pull out. All three of us tried and failed. So one of my daughters just slept on the sofa, as a sofa. I was also surprised at all of the hidden fees that increased the room price by more than $100 a night, and it was already expensive at $400 per night. For that price, we should have received excellent service and accommodations with everything taken care of ahead of time. I wish I had read some of the other reviews before staying there, because I would have stayed somewhere else. Don’t go.

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of NOLA. Would stay here again if I came to the city. So many pockets to sit in the lobby and meet friends or read. Was able to walk to everything we wanted to visit or easily take a steer car.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice but it could use some light around the bar area. The cleanliness was top notch and we felt right at home. We were not very happy with the restaurant Couvant, we did not feel very welcomed there. But the bar area was great! Good food and good drinks. Super friendly service as well. I have already recommended the hotel to several friends and clients and we would be happy to stay there again.

Rooms were next to several dumpsters outside, which were dumped every morning about 5am. A/c wasn’t working in 1st room. Toilet water ran 24/7 in the other. Nice boutique hotel but would never accept a room on that side ever again.

Beautiful hotel in a historic building, great location for all the sites of New Orleans. The team at the hotel were amazing as usual and made you feel very welcomed and appreciated. Our room this time was overlooking the alley which was ok but the 3:30 am dumpster being emptied every morning was a challenge.
