Mardi Gras 2025

This was our #4 stay for Mardi Gras at the Convention Center property. Staff is so friendly, breakfast buffet is excellent, lobby offers fruit infused water, king cake & popcorn. Property is very clean & well maintained. Makes for a good home away from home after a day (or night) of parading, eating, hanging in the Quarter, etc. Hope we get to enjoy this property again next year.

This property was in perfect convenience for walking ,within 15 minute walk to everything you need. We also really appreciated the basketball hoop and the pool. The place its self is extremely spacious. With a kitchen and a dishwasher. This was perfect for longer stays or for someone like me who enjoys cooking.

Great Mardi Gras View

This hotel was the best location during the Mardi Gras weekend. The front desk was nice, the valets were helpful, the room was clean and comfy. Definitely loved the 1st floor view of floats going by. Surprised that the cost was good for that weekend, as others were way higher. I would definitely stay again.

Home away from home

I almost always stay at Sonesta Suites when visiting New Orleans. I think it has even gotten better. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager was present every day and he was super friendly to me and other guests. This hotel is convenient to the warehouse district, WW2 museum, convention center. It’s an easy and safe walk to the French Quarter and we even walked to and from the Super Dome. Great restaurants and bars are nearby. I definitely recommend this hotel .

Terrible. They don’t take delivering decent service seriously. The toilet was broken the whole time and failed miserably in resolving that issue. Why? Yet they were insistent that we vacate our room at a moment’s notice to make way for new patrons. 0/5. Would not recommend

Good, but could be great

Great location, the staff is friendly, and the courtyard is nice. It suffers from what most hotels do which is attention to detail. Why is a $10 showerhead being used? Why is there one nightstand by the bed, not two? Why does every door need WD40? The breakfast is good, but the way it is set up is kind of awkward. I needed to stay another day and the young lady at the front desk told me to "go online and book another room"...you mean I can't do that at the front desk??? I would consider staying here again, but it may not be my first choice.

New Orleans Road Trip

Have always wanted to visit New Orleans. Have to say it was way above my expectations. we had a queen suite, next time I would get a king bed. kitchen was great for us as we traveled with our dog. Breakfast was typical and after a day or so we just made our own coffee and toast. Loved the suite portion of this as I could sleep in. This was also a great location, WWII museum a block away. Uptown parade only a 4 block walk. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. Parking however is a joke. I get it the hotel does not have space but the city parking is outrageous. the lot the hotel recommends has a cheap 24 hour teaser rate, after that it gets jacked up to about 3 times that rate. there really isn't anything you can do. we opted with valet for $45 per night.
