The stay was nice and the rooms were clean and smelled great. I’m not sure what they used but as soon as you walk in the room the smell was sweetly powerful. The only thing I didn’t like was that the floors(carpet) were a bit damp as of someone either cleaned them or waste something on them and the tv did not work.

I booked 2 rioms. One room smelles like it has just been aprayed for roaches. The roaches were so bad my family had to be moved to another room, which the staff graciously allowed. Unfortunately, that room was on another floor and they saw another roach. We also had a roach in our room. Thankfully, we only stayed one night.

I do not recommend this hotel. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell from the moment I walked in—like mildew and dampness that clearly hadn't been addressed. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathroom had visible mold, the shower wasn’t properly cleaned, and there were visible signs of mold on the furniture. It honestly didn’t feel sanitary or safe to stay in. It’s clear that housekeeping is not doing a thorough job, and the overall maintenance of the property is being neglected. I brought this up to the staff, but nothing was done to improve the situation. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money. I won’t be staying here again.

Great staff, poor conditions

I picked this La Quinta for my family because it was close to the airport and offered a continental breakfast. The front desk staff at check-in and check-out were warm and friendly, which we really appreciated. The building and room were pretty run down, but since we were only staying one night to sleep and shower, we figured it would do. The TV remote didn’t work at first, but the front desk quickly sent someone up with a replacement. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn’t clean. When I turned on the shower, I saw several small bugs crawl out from behind the hot water knob - about eight of them. After that, I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower, so I ended up washing myself and my child in the sink. Each time I went back into the bathroom, there were a couple more bugs in different spots. We stayed on a Tuesday night, and were surprised by how loud it was. There was shouting in the hall and what sounded like parties happening in different rooms late into the night. We skipped the breakfast because, based on what we saw in our room and the bathroom, we didn’t feel confident about the cleanliness in the kitchen. We did stop by to see if there were any sealed options and were glad to find things like yogurt. My child had some Cheerios with milk but said the milk tasted weird, so we tossed it just in case. Even though the staff was wonderful, we wouldn’t stay here again due to the condition of the room, the cleanliness issues, and the overall environment.

First the staff is great. Friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Exceptional value for the price. 1st time flying out of Louis Armstrong and the hotel was in a very convenient location. Breakfast was decent and a little late. Would give 4.5 stars if allowed.
