This is my first time in New Orleans and this was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again. Close to all the action, but the room was quiet which was a nice surprise.

Lovely place! Quiet unpretentios, but near everything. Easy to get around French Quarter. Great restaurants nearby. The lobby is a bit shabby...could use new rugs, perhaps reupholster the sofas. But rooms had perfect white linens. Nice chairs and desk. Loved all the mirrors...lighted mirror in bathroom, along with wall mirror.. Full length in bedroom. Another over the desk. Room temp control worked well and quickly. Maybe bring earplugs as a/c motor is a bit droning. Bathroom clean, nice shower, and clean white linens. Courtyard pretty. Nice cozy bar onsite. Cafe Beignet right around the corner! I recommend highly. Will stay again!

Just average hotel in the Qaurter. It was close to everything but they had us way in the back and the elevator was broke so you had to do a lot of walking up and downstairs to get to room.

Charming hotel at a convenient location. Needs some renovating of the interior and the rooms to make it more comfortable. At night it was noisy. The rooms are not sound proof and one can hear the loud music playing from the bar in the property.

An old hotel, not well maintained. Outside all doors on levels 3 and 4 is an old and dirty tarpaulin hanging over the courtyard. Last renovations of the room not well thought through - no power outlet for the coffee machine, and so on. Frankly, for the price, there are better options.

Even in a courtyard room, the music from the bar next-door was throbbing till 3am. Unbelievably loud. The wine bar in the hotel was lovely for about 2 minutes until I saw a giant rat run over my foot. Literally. :-(

French Quarter Respite
An absolutely charming hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Be sure to ask for a room in the interior courtyard on the second floor - it's quiet as a church even though Bourbon Street madness is only a block away.

Pros: good location, quiet at night, beautiful courtyard Cons: RUDE front desk staff, overcharged valet service compared to the website when I booked, locked out of room and use of elevators an hour before needing to checkout, hotel room door was extremely hard to open and close, door latch lock broken, room needing repairs (ie, heaved tiles, door, musty smell, cleaning). I would not recommend this hotel, I’m sure there are much better options for this kind of $$$$.

Valet was very difficult due to no place to pull over. Room was large and well appointed, but smelled musty. There was a lot of street noise and also people hanging out in the atrium late talking loudly. For the price, I’d stay somewhere else next time.
