The hotel was in a good location to take in the french quarter activities. I was approached by the vendor to upgrade my stay prior to arriving and was suprised by a larger than expected bill as they charged the upgrade in USD when we had been dealing in CND. When I brought this up, the front desk did not seem to understand my issue. Also, do not upgrade. My upgrade really only got us an unusable balcony and a lot of noise. We would have been better off staying with our original booking.

The front desk staff were very good and friendly. However, on our first night I asked to have the bed linen change because it doesn’t look clean. The housekeeper came, not very pleasant. She changed the linen but whole time she was changing the linen, she keeps saying her back hurts and I had to help her change the linen. And she didn’t even say thank you to me for helping her.

A lovely hotel in the heart of French Quarters!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mazarin. Right in the heart of the French Quarters! It is close to all the action of Bourbon Street but just far enough removed that it is quiet. The courtyard is lovely. From Wednesday to Sunday there is a restaurant offering breakfast/brunch adjacent to the courtyard. There are two bars associated with the property. The front reception staff are exceptionally helpful, in particular, Stacey and Debbie Ann. Stacey recommended at wonderful restaurant close by called "Fleur de Lis" for our breakfast on Monday and Tuesday. We enjoyed our room - it was situated on the second floor facing the courtyard.
