We came to experience Mardi Gras and we were not disappointed! Not only was this hotel right in the path of great parades but the front desk was amazing. For every silly question we had they had a great recommendation or pointed us where we could get the answer. Also the hospitality and helpfulness that the people in the front desk gave us was extraordinary. I cannot say enough about each and every one there, they were amazing in their own great way. We will definitely come back for sure. This hotel is located in a great area by a park and walking distance from the French Quarters, with tons to do around the city this is a perfect place to stay.

This hotel is beautiful. I enjoyed the fact that it was right on the street that the parade was held on Mardi Gras was so much fun. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Inside and outside and around the hotel, it was very convenient and close to everything, such as food and shopping. The staff was very respectful, kind, and professional I enjoyed my stay thoroughly and I am definitely coming back. The rooms were very clean, with no smells the bed was very clean and comfortable and plenty of towels in the very spacious bathroom. Very quiet. One can tell that the hotel is an older hotel, but very very well kept.

The location of the hotel was excellent but there were several things that could have been better. The hotel did not have a shower chair which I use to help with ease of showering. These are not expensive so I would suggest that they at least keep one or two for those of us who need a bit of extra assistance. Also the low height of the toilet caused problems too. Again, maybe it is time to do some upgrading of the property. The lobby is shiny and bright but the rooms are starting to show wear. The carpet was really bad - the black footprint when I got in the shower was a real tell.

The parking was an issue. Valet parking was offered on both Expedia and the email the hotel sent to me however when we arrived parking was not available. I did not have any notification that the hotel would have limited access during the event. We could not get to our hotel when we arrived in the city. There was only one way in and out of the hotel and at times you couldn't get out of the door because of the amount of people in front of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Nice hotel along St. Charles street and only 4 blocks to Canal and the start of the French Quarter. Friendly staff with clean and efficient rooms and great restaurant with many local dishes...a good choice for this couple trip.

We’ve stayed at the Blake several times. Knowing that it’s Mardi Gras, we had lower expectations with respect to service. However, the staff could not have been nicer. The property itself needs some updates. We were provided with a phone that l was missing buttons and couldn’t be plugged in. We struggled to get towels. However, the front staff was very kind.
