This property is in a prime location. Walkable to dining, bars, museums and the streetcar to escape the hussle of Bourbon St. My only gripe is that housekeeping didn’t service the room at all during our stay, so we had to go to the front desk in the evenings for toilet paper and clean linen.

Its a dungeon or jail cell. Be prepared for the rooms on the lower floors of the Alexa building. With the high ceilings and 4 concrete Gray slate walls, it is dark and depressing. There is only a one foot window up in the corner. On the other hand it's incredibly quiet. You don't hear any of the noise from bourbon street, which is just steps away, but it is a dark depressing room in the alexa building. Its nothing like the picture.

The rooms are dated. The first room I was given had a strong mold and mildew smell and water on the floor. The 2nd room was better. The ice machines don’t work. When I called to request ice, I was told I need to go to every floor until i found a working ice machine. I checked 2 floors then gave up. Ridiculous. They disable your key multiple times during your stay which becomes very inconvenient. You then have to go all the way downstairs to have them fix it. There was other people on this trip with me in other rooms and the same thing happened to them. The pool is a joke. Because of the location, it was freezing, even though it was very hot outside. If your booking this hotel for the pool, don’t waste your money.. There was other minor inconveniences, too many to list. Overall I would not recommend this hotel

This was my first time staying at the Astor Crowne Plaza. I was very excited to stay here as I found it through the IHG app as I am a member. I did not have a positive experience at all and was super disappointed. I normally don’t leave reviews either but I felt this warranted one. Every single person at the front desk was rude and acted like we were inconveniencing them if we had a question. We had to ask to have our room cleaned THREE times before they finally came, and we also asked for an item (a razor) and they never brought it, so we had to go to the front to ask again after hours of them not bringing it. Also, we were on the third floor so it was super loud outside with the cars bumping music on canal. If you stay, request a higher room so you can’t hear the noise. Additionally, before we even stayed here I had issues with the front desk. Every time I called and asked politely a question, they would either hang up on me or transfer me then it would hang up. So I was already iffy on coming here. Only positive was the location but there are several other better hotels on canal with the same convenience. Only positive people we loved were the front bell hop crew - they at least seem to like their job and know how to SMILE, unlike anyone at the front desk. Literally not one of those front desk people smiled. We won’t be returning as it was such a disappointing experience overall unfortunately. You’re better off at Marriott a couple blocks down for same price.

The cleanliness of the room wasn't very good. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling as well as within the grout. The bathroom fan also didn't work. The TV stand was filthy all around it. Your website also stated room service and when we arrived we were told that there wasn't any room service available.
