There was blood on my sheets in the first hotel room, in the second room, a mouse ran out. On the second night there, there was no hot water or heat from 6am to 8pm.

I had to move rooms 3 times due to not having hot water in one room, the other room was facing the bottom of the hotel where people were working it was so loud with rats running outside it was disgusted. The last room on my last night was my favorite I was able to sleep and had hot water.

The check in and check out were easy. The room was a bit claustrophobic and in the middle of our stay they shut off the hot water for 16hrs. With all the walking we did and shows we needed to attend, thos was very inconvenient. The sink was clogged and started to back up on our last day.

We had a Merry Christmas in New Orleans!
We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The staff was courteous and attentive. Although the hotel is older it was beautifully decorated, well maintained, and and quite beautiful for Christmas. The location was on the corner of Bourbon Street which made it outstanding.

We’ve stayed at this property several times now but this was our first time in the tower area and we definitely wouldn’t choose this area of the hotel again. It felt like a dungeon and was very far from the front desk and entrance. We like this hotel for its price, proximity to the quarter, Bourbon, and how easy it is to walk down Canal but it is not necessarily the cleanest or safest corner of the quarter and parking is Valet only street load and can be pretty convenient yet pricey and stressful at the same time! All in all we’ll probably continue to stay here next time, just in a different area of the hotel. This stay was only for one night and we appreciated how they lock the Main Street doors now after dark! Lots of homeless and street people being that close to Bourbon.

It was not my first time in NOLA, but it was my first time staying at The Astor Crowne. This has been my favorite place to stay thus far. Id recommend staying here, and id definitely would stay here next time i visit.

We stayed at this hotel at a pretty bad time. The attack on Bourbon St had just happed 2 days prior. There were so many cops, military people and blocked roads so it made getting to the hotel difficult but understandable. I had called the hotel to see if they coudl help direct me to the hotel with the road closers, they couldn't because they didn't know which roads were closed but it is possible to get to them, understandable. We finally get to the hotel and valet tells us valet is closed due to the incident. Why didn't the person i spoke to tell me that when i was on the phone with her? Valet guy gave us the address of where we could park, he helped put our luggage onto the luggage cart and wheeled it to the check in counter for me due to me having a toddler and my partner went to self park. Check in lady (whom i spoke to over the phone) wasn't very welcoming, that's fine, i understandable. The timing of everything is horrible. We finally get into our room and it's old, outdated, paint chipping off the walls, bathroom looked like it was from a motel, towels were super thin & left fuzz on your body after you use it. There are no comforters, just thin sheets. I don't fault the hotel service for the lack of welcoming but more of how the room was. Location is prime but hotel itself, not worth it. There are plenty of other hotel options. I would not stay here again.
