A refreshingly modest retreat
I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and convenience of this seemingly modest roadside hotel. Rooms were clean and updated while still conveying a sense of the hotel's history. The lobby held a few games and snack options that were handy, and the service I received was prompt, professional, and friendly, including an email confirmation that I could have a pack and play ready upon my arrival.

This is the 3rd time we stayed here this year and I was so disappointed. I performed a pre checkin using the Circle Hotel website. I stayed here in the past and had a pleasant experience. When I arrived , I was not told which room I was provided nor received the code . The woman at the desk provided it to me and we were “ upgraded “ to a suite. It was on the second floor so we had to carry all of our stuff up the stairs . There are no elevators . I then walked down with my dog to get something from my car and started heading back up . That is when another front desk person told me that dogs are not allowed in the suite. The gentleman told me that he was not aware that there was a dog at checkin in. I told him that hotels.com does not communicate if there is a dog being checked in . The Circle hotel was not responsible for 3rd party apps . The man escalated the situation by informing me that there would be an additional $30per day pet fee . So we had to leave the room , go to another room and carry everything out. The man apologized and said that he would not charge the fee because of the inconvenience and that he would relay my disappointment to management. I still have not had a response. Additionally during our 5 day stay , not once was our room cleaned after I informed the front desk of this and there was not internet for almost 2 days.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and never been disappointed. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. The only issue I had this time was, we asked for later check out (12:00) and housekeeping came knocking on our door and tried to enter at 9:30 am. 😕 They should know if people have checked out yet before coming to clean the room.

The parking lot lighting was very bright at night and the window coverings weren't able to block it. I'd suggest modifying the fixtures to alleviate the excessive lighting. Also, the breakfast had all disposables: plates, cups and utensils. It would be environmentally responsible to use reusable dining ware as many people ate their breakfast on site. The room was clean and pleasant.
