I liked that they had cable channels on the tv but I didn't like that the tub felt like you were going to cave in and the sink needed to be unclogged the water went down very slow.

Check-in was fine. However, there was one working elevator that is very small. It was taking forever. In my room there was no mattress cover on the mattress. The mattress was old and worn and the springs made noise every time you rolled over, it was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was outdated. Also not having icemakers on each floor with one working elevator was also very inconvenient. Not a nice stay at all.

THIS PROPERTY WAS DISGUSTING. THE BATHROOM WAS EXTREMELY DIRTY, THE SINK THE TUB... BOTH WERE CLOGGED UP!! AS A PREGNANT WOMAN I COULDN'T BARE TO EVEN SHOWER. NOISE OUTSIDE THE ROOM STARTED CRACK A** OF DAWN. CONSTRUCTION RIGHT OUT MY WINDOW SUNDAY AM. WOKEN UP TO A COUPLE ARGUING AND DISRESPECTING ONE ANOTHER. FOUND ANOTHER CUSTOMER WAITING FOR ELEVATOR FOR OVER 10 MINS, 6 MONTHS PREGNANT AND I HAD TO TAKE THE STAIRS, THIS PROPERTY IS DIGUSTNG AND SHOULD BE ASHAME OF THEMSELVES 200$ A NIGHT,, NOT WORTH IT, LOOKING FOR A FULL REFUND !!!!

LaQuinta New Haven : Do not stay here
This hotel doubles as a quasi long term stay for homeless or rehab individuals. It is being renovated in an unskilled manner, it is unclear whether it is or is not a LaQuinta, it is next door to a cannabis dispensary, and it does not feel like a safe or managed hotel. I would never consider staying here again.

This was the worst La Quinta I have stayed at, the hotel was in poor quality. The elevator did not work very well, had to walk baggage up and down stairs, the room and hallways smelled like cigarettes.

Horrible stay
There are people living out of the hotel. Housekeeping moved all of our things out of our room without even a phone call. Some of my jewelery was missing and the manager said “prove it”. People living there hang around the entrance and smoke. Did not feel safe at all.

Avoid this place at all costs. We arrived and immediately felt unsafe before even stepping out of the car. We were excited to do a pizza tour in New Haven but unfortunately, there were no other hotels available so we decided to check in thinking maybe the room would be fine for one night. The front desk staff didn't know what they were doing. Once we got to the door of our room (#415 for reference), the peephole was falling out of the door from the outside. You could literally take it out of the door so there would just be a hole in the door looking directly into our room, and giving some the ability to break in if they wanted to. We immediately decided that this place was not safe and went in to game plan what to do next. Upon entering, the room smelt like a lot of bleach and there was a used, dirty rag left on the desk. The shower had mold on it and the toilet water had black specks once flushed. It was DISGUSTING. We immediately checked out and the hotel front desk didn't try to persuade us otherwise, likely because they are used to this happening. I think we spent a total of 10 minutes inside this hotel and it was 10 minutes too long. We requested a refund because we DID NOT stay the night and only lasted 10 minutes inside this sorry excuse for a hotel. They tried to say that we stayed there so clearly there are no functional security cameras. For how awful this place is, a refund is the least they could do. AVOID THIS DISGUSTING, UNSAFE "HOTEL" AT ALL COSTS.
