This is an old hotel with a new face, I guess. Stayed there more than ten years ago and it was pretty much unchanged inside since then. Carpet needed cleaning, clock was busted, stray wires on the floor, sink bowl was cracked and repaired with silicone. Bed was worn out. I guess for $100.00 it's what I deserved.

Heater A/C and toilets were not working properly in my assigned room, so I requested a room change, which was accomplished after some delay from staff. TV and bed were overall nice though I later discovered some (apparent) bed bug bites on myself.

Room was dank. Dirty and dusty carpet with rips and stains. Bugs in room. Wall light switches were dirty. Fridge freezer had layers of old ice build up, microwave had food remnants. Phone was dirty. Bathroom was clean, I’ll give them that. Got off elevator on wrong floor, carpet in hall was all ripped up. Expedia photos are not a good representation of actual rooms. Checked out after one night. (Took pictures, so I have back up) Also, site says they have a shuttle from train but that is no longer available.

Staff are very unfriendly and basically ignore guests. However the restaurant in the parking lot is outstanding if for nothing else that restaurant made the stay here better.

It is conveniently located. Also the Townhouse diner (across the parking lot but not affiliated with the hotel) is very good. Otherwise the hotel is not much to write home about. The hotel needs some work. It’s not the worst place in town, but not the best. It’s an ok value for the money. As long as they keep the price reasonably low, I’m OK that it’s a mediocre hotel.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was subpar but free so can’t complain other than about the rotting fruit they put out. Overall, it was quiet and a decent place for the night. We took an Uber for under $20 to get into New Haven for a concert.

The mattress was terribly uncomfortable making sleep difficult. The ice machine on the floor did not work and the vending machine was practically empty and was sticky and not clean. The staff at the hotel were excellent.

It has a pool which is nice. It doesn't have any live tv channels or cable. It has some TV but I'm unsure what those four channels are showing. This may be because the price was so reasonable
