I booked through hotels.com app. Was not made aware that the hotel was under construction. There was so much dust that aggravated my allergies, made me sick. I booked this hotel planning to workout out, and the workout room was also under construction.

Fine minus construction interference

The hotel was fine and the breakfast was great and the staff on all levels was wonderful. The only reason we deducted a star was there was serious construction on the main floor that we weren’t alerted of so we were walking through a construction site to and from our rooms and the pool. Also, the heater in the hot tub was broken. However, the rooms were great and the staff was very thoughtful and efficient. There’s also a Ruby Tuedays next door that made for a good dinner option.

Hotel Renovations not disclosed.

We were not informed of the renovations taking place at the hotel, at any time. The first morning drilling began right under our room, exceptionally loud! I called down to front desk, they just kept saying they’re sorry, did not offer any solutions. We were told that since we booked through a “third party” that we would not be refunded when we went straight down to the check in desk, and checked out. So we ended up having to pay for a night that we did not stay. The renovations are going on 7 days a week fro 8:30am to 6pm.

Did not expect to be in Shrewsbury, so had to borrow a toothbrush and got a ketchup packet sized toothpaste. Room was great, slept well, woke up early and breakfast was at 6. All the staff were friendly. Thanks for making an impromptu stay memorable.
