Room with a loft was very convenient for us. It was sparkling clean, quiet and warm. Beds were wonderful, shower exceptional. Behind the Hacienda there's a nice park along the river. I wish weather was a little warmer. In 5 minutes drive there is a picturesque historical Gruene village with great restaurants and many events and shops.

There are great things happening at Hacienda del Rio. The entire property is undergoing a fantastic renovation. The new rooms are modern and so cute. The clubhouse is awesome. The staff are super responsive, friendly, and want to make sure you have a great stay. It's also super close to downtown New Braunfels. There is definitely visible construction going on as they carry out the renovation, but they are doing a great job of keeping the site clean and areas accessible. My only complaint (which is not their fault) is the highway noise. I can't wait to see it when everything is done!

Great Location and Great Staff

This motel is a little old, but nicely kept. I would remend this to anyone. I will be back and maybe more than an overnight. The staff was great and help in making the stay great....

Good stay

The only negative I would say is that it’s pretty close to 46 and clowns wanted to race up and down the Main Street. Other than that, it’s under new ownership and they are working on making it the next generation value destination.

Nice motel

The motel was very clean and the room was comfortable. The overall aesthetic was a little outdated but still very accommodating and inviting. The only negative I have is that the walls/floor/ceiling are very thin and you could hear other guests. At night it sounded like the people above us were literally in our room with us.

Plot Twist Adventure

The pictures that were posted online did not accurately represent this facility. This hotel was a 1960’s built model that included the original furniture. The door did not shut or lock correctly which was a direct safety issue. The bed, rugs, and linens were soiled & disgusting. The entire facility was in need up being updated. When looking at the actual room versus the online pictures, it was obvious that the pictures had been modified by AI. Overall, it was a sketchy location & hotel. I was extremely disappointed upon arrival and immediately began looking for a new location to stay during the this trip to New Braunfels. I immediately contacted management upon arrival for another hotel in the area. I did not stay around long enough to take pictures but I should have to post so people can make informed decisions.
