We had a great stay at the Fairfield. We had to leave early and breakfast wasn't available till 7. So we had no breakfast.

This is perfect for a quick weekend or for passing through. They offer a property right off 35 which is in proximity to Texas State Tubes - which is why we came to San Marcos, to float the river. There was an ice machine right next to our room and even though we were close to the elevators - relatively zero noise / loudness. The room was clean with a few minor exceptions like the shower still having water stains on the glass. Almost like you couldn’t really tell it had been cleaned. However, it didn’t feel dirty overall and the rest of the hotel is maintained. Glenny I think was our receptionist and she was so kind, courteous & efficient. Overall, this is a great budget stay in proximity to many restaurants and activities. 8/10

All the workers there were very nice and helful. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs were watery. My bed was very soft. I did not get any sleep. And the pillows were way too fluffy for me. I sleep on my side/stomach. I need a flatter pillow.

Beware if you require a room type

We booked a double queen room and they put us in a king bed with sofa bed room. The reason given for tbe change was that we used Hotels.com to book the room and the room wasn't available when it was booked, but no message was sent informing us of any change. Front desk manager was a bit snooty and unapologetic, just "that is why you should book directly with us."
