Okay but misleading

Our stay at Zara Cave was okay. The staff was really nice and breakfast was delicious but overall I found a couple things really misleading. I was expecting a hotel built into a hillside with rooms like caves. This hotel is a regular stand alone hotel built from stone looking materials, but definitely not caves. The room was nice, clean and spacious, it just wasn't a cave hotel in my opinion. The hotel is in the middle of town surrounded by dozens of other similar hotels, not on a hillside. The balloons were cancelled both days we were there, but I'm almost certain they wouldnt be able to get as close as they show in some of the photos since the hotel is right in the middle of the town. They have a photoshop package that they offer and I think thats what you see when they show the balloons really close and right behind the terracel. Again, we didnt get to see the hot air balloons, but that would be my guess based off the location of the hotel. They advertise soundproof rooms but this was not the case at all. We were woken up by very loud crying cats one morning at like 6am and people walking up to breakfast or talking in the courtyard. You can hear everything in the room clearly without any kind of noise dampening. It was disappointing as we were very tired. Lastly, I chose this hotel partially because they offered onsite parking. This is not the case, you have to fend for your yourself and find your own parking which was difficult and frustrating after a long day.

What an incredible place. We stayed in a room for 4 people and it was almost like an apartment. Lots of space and spectacular decoration. The hotel is very well located, close to many places to eat and shop. The view of the balloons from its terraces is unique. Recommended.

It's pretty surprising that every single comment about this hotel is positive, but it really is the case. This has definitely been one of the best hotels I've stayed at during my trip to Turkey. The location is right in the heart of the town, making it super easy to walk to most places. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe. They kept me in the loop about events and activities from the moment I booked until I arrived. My room was cozy and spotless, and the shower had the perfect water temperature every time. Shady, the receptionist, greeted me with open arms and answered all my questions; he spoke English really well. I can't comment on the food due to my severe allergies, but I did see a massive selection at the breakfast buffet. Big thanks to the chef for making my morning egg! I highly recommend this hotel, and if I ever come back, it would definitely be my first choice. Tip: - Don’t book any tours in advance with other companies; let the hotel handle it for you. You’ll get the best deals and prices, including airport transfers. - Consider booking a photoshoot with them. Even if there aren’t any balloons flying that day, they can add them to your pictures; the photographer on site is really good. Recommendations: - It would be great to have a channel listing in the rooms since there are over 100 channels available.
