The People Make the Difference!

We stayed at (2) resort locations on Nassau: Harborside Atlantis (Paradise Island) and Sandyport Beach Resort. If we were visiting again, we would select Sandyport over Atlantis because of the people who worked at the resort. Our room was large, clean, and AC worked well. The room, and parts of the resort, are for sure slightly outdated, but that did not take away from the experience for us. We spent time at the pool/beach bar, which is very simple. But Bass, Kyle and Mrs. N made the experience personal and enjoyable. They seemed to genuinely appreciate that we were there. The front desk staff were welcoming and addressed any questions/concerns we had at any time. The surrounding area had some good food restaurants and a solid craft cocktail bar.

Loved that our room was right by the pool and the lagoon. The service was very good and everyone was super helpful. The grounds were lovely and we often saw sting rays in the canal. The beach was a short walk away and very private. We were within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and a convenience store. Also very close to bus pick up which we used several times to get around the island. Beautiful place!!!!

The property is very well organized and the entire staff are helpful in helping us find other places within the hotel grounds . We had an excellent breakfast on the patio just behind the office with a waitress who helped us with small favours like sending someone to get our suitcase , helping with our check out and ordering us a taxi with a very nice driver . My only complaint is we were booked into a second floor room with very steep stirs , so because we are seniors we would request a ground floor room on our next visit . Thank you . DSK

Comfortable room and property, and friendly, helpful staff. Walking distance to good restaurants and bars. Beach and pool were nice. Easy commute to Nassau airport. Hot water was an issue some days in the shower. Otherwise, no problems.

The pictures on Expedia and their resort’s own website don’t adequately show how beautiful the property is with multiple places to sit by a protected, calm water beach and to have access to 3 pools and many hammocks. Stunning!

Great resort! Absolutely love the cappuccino at their restaurant. Many restaurants near by, smooth ride to Nassau. Love the hammocks, beach, pool, bay. Staff are all friendly, great house keeping!

Ok of place however the review that I read before booking were over rated. The hotel needs some Fixing and a better upkeep. No service what’s of ever at the main pool, only a kiosk that serves some drinks and some fast food. Laundry facility has no coin change machine and very outdated. Front desk has no change to give you. Over all we enjoy our stay. Place could be so much better if the owner decides to invest few $ in it and get the whole Better orginized and add some basic Services. .

We had a beachfront / lagoon front room with kitchen and lounge area. The rooms are a bit dated and tired but everything functions perfectly. They have new appliances in the kitchen and living area. The view out of the room over the beach and lagoon area is stunning and we very much enjoyed being sat on our terrace with a cocktail for sunset. Resort staff couldnt be more helpful and would make arrangements for taxis / excursions etc. There are multiple dining options within a short walk of the resort and a supermarket. We much preferred this area to the hustle and bustle of other more popular areas as it felt like a bit of a sanctuary. We also saw a manitee, sea turtle and multiple Eagle rays swimming in the lagoons outside of the cordoned off swimming area!

King sure with a lagoon view was great. It was exactly what we were looking for. Not like the over crowded paradise island hotels. Only complaints:the hammock outside our room was broken, the housekeepers were loud, and one of the toilets clogged. Other than those, it was perfect
