Room was clean and updated. Quiet property. I wasn't impressed with the amount of smokers near the pool. It was a nice place. I'd stay again.

Bad Hyatt Place experience
The rooms smell was terrible mold smell the elevator smells moldy. The bathroom was so small you can barely shut the door. The elevator carpet was so dirty and smell of mold in the elevator was bad . Breakfast was very poor. My first time staying at the Hyatt Place but never again. Very poor staff. I paid for my room for several days there with my PayPal and booked with Hotels.com then when I got there they chummy credit card for $779.90 I told them it was already paid for. They didn’t refund my credit card and would take days to recover. I said you were quick to change my credit card but are slow to credit my credit card. They just ruined my Vacation.

Website says they have a shuttle to the Gaylord Convention Center and they do… if you ask and are standing there when he walks out the door. They do not provide pickup unless maybe if you get lucky enough that they are dropping someone off at the top of the hour and even then I’m not sure. You can’t call for a ride because no one answers the phone. Little bit sketchy to walk but I did and also used Uber. Some staff are amazing, some are not so nice. I don’t think I will stay here next year when I go for the meeting. It served the purpose but was mediocre at best.

This property is very old and requires updating. It is still summer in Nashville and the hallways are extremely hot. Our air conditioning in our room did not work well so it was almost as hot. The layout of the king suites are odd and the bathrooms are tiny. We used the pool area and liked it. The breakfast was also good.

It was four days before our room was cleaned and then only after we had asked twice. Even then the kitchen area was not cleaned. They kept running out of cutlery at breakfast and took a long time to refill the supply.

Upon arrival the front desk staff appeared stressed and stated someone didn’t show up for their shift. I mentioned to another person in our group about the bar to get a drink and the staff stated he was the only one there and didn’t know how to make any drinks. The snacks for purchase were very limited, and they were never restocked during our stay. Our whole floor smelled like mildew and our room smelled like mildew/mold. The water had two temperatures, boiling hot and barely warm. The beds were very hard. Neighbors were in the hallway screaming, but I understand that isn’t the hotel’s fault. Breakfast area was small and we opted to get breakfast elsewhere.

We were on the main floor next to the bar, needless to say it was noisy and the people kept us up at night. The breakfast could have been better. They ran out of cutlery, the lady in the area to get food was rude and said “you just have to wait”. Didn’t apologize or anything. Other than that it was a good stay.
