Very sad to discover that property has been bought by Days Inn and is slated to be fully remodeled -- at a cost of millions ... when current owners cannot even keep the place sufficiently staffed at present??? How does this make any sense -- not only re: design (spacious rooms architectural elements throughout are what make this property unique!)..... but also financially? It only makes "sense" if hotel chains use "remodeling" indebtedness as a financial tool to leverage their tax burden, not otherwise -- because if those millions were applied to, say: 1) Use paint new fabrics to update interiors; transform lobby via painting walls deep marine blue, w/structural focal elements such as overhang a metallic gold; use wallpaper to distinguish recessed areas in lobby -- such as amazing electric light "arches" projected along the left wall, etc.; 2) Upgrade property to "spa" level by reconfiguring pool (increase size, cover w/glass greenhouse, heat & fill w/plants, chaises, etc.); 3) Improve surrounding landscaping (plant maintenance-free vinca minor ferns along back hill); 4) Define location via mural along cement block retaining wall (e.g. Nashville skyline w/hotel location aircraft depicted flying above--incl. Air Nat'l Guard, get local artist for project). If these suggestions were considered, the property could become a major stay-worthy destination, instead of yet another "McDonald's" design -- at a fractionof the cost.

Overnight Near Airport
Overnight stay with husband and son. This hotel needs an overhaul. Room carpet & couch were stained. We opened the sheet set for the sofa bed & the flat sheet had spots of blood. Staff were quick to bring up a new pack-those sheets had something on them as well. Room was tight on space. Breakfast was ok, but areas to eat is small. We would not stay here again.

It was a spacious room for just the two of us but the hotel is dated and the room had several stains on the couch and walls and the shower curtain had mold on it. However, there is ample space to store your items. Not a great stay but not terrible either.

Quiet as a Funeral Home
Saw 3 employees during entire stay. TV did not work when we checked in, waited over an hour for a maintenance man was a no show. Finally asked for a different room and switched the remote and kept the same room. Restaurant was closed because bartender was a no show. Breakfast was ok overall, but the decaf was cold out of the pot. Seemed to be very low occupancy, probably due to poor service. Desk clerks were very cold doing the bare minimum and the breakfast hostess didnt interact with anyone either. Need hosting and customer service training at all levels. Good location 5 minutes from the airport.
