Day trip

Quick trip for mom’s surgery! Front desk staff seemed really confused. Never really spoke to us, they spoke to each other. No direct eye contact! When we went to our room the hallway on the 3rd floor had what looked like blood stains on the carpet in several areas. Our room was clean, but the bathroom really needed a good going over! There was hand print with what looked like black grease by the shower, the floor needed a deep clean and the walls had splatter on them. As we only stayed one night we just left it as was! But it something to consider taking care of!

Brand new but some issues

When we first went to our room we noticed a few things… First the toilet was loose. The bolts needed tightening- it happens. But in a hotel that’s been open less than a year? Second, there were a handful of those fake ladybugs in the room. Most concerning was the fact the door wasn’t aligned properly so wouldn’t latch. You could push the door open without a key! We went back to the desk and they gave us another room without question. It was so quick a response we got the impression they already knew about the lock being broken. New room, same bugs (just a few - not concerned, it’s not like they’re roaches) and there was a take out drink container left in the room. Housekeeping? Toilet seat was loose and there was a half dozen wire nuts hanging out by the heater. (See pictures). This hotel is less than a year old. Did they rush finishing it? We didn’t ask for ANOTHER new room but if I’d noticed the wire nuts before we went to sleep we might have.

Nashville West Comfort Inn

I had a really good stay at the Comfort Inn. The place was clean and I was greeted by the front desk immediately when I arrived. The room was great and comfortable. Even though the hotel is close to I-40, I didn't hear any traffic noise. I didn't hear many noises at all. The street entrance is a one-way in and the exit is around the back. There are only about a half dozen parking spots out front but plenty of parking on the sides & back. Convenient on and off access to the interstate.

There were ladybugs all over our room. I had to kill about 10 ladybugs in our room and there was the same piece of plastic outside the elevator for our whole stay.
