Long weekend getaway

The towels were changed daily... the garbage taken out after two days... my bed was made for me after the first night but not on the second and third night.... i checked in on a friday and left on a Monday... There was a connecting door into the next room, which i was very wary about...i was on the main floor, there are two floors... i could hear the person snoring in the room above me.... i can hear conversations very clearly, which meant >> everything i said or did they could hear also... the front desk staff were amazing and very helpful... the crew that cleaned the rooms were very friendly...

The staff here are wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Inside the property is clean and in good condition. Our room was nice and spotlessly clean. The exterior is in need of some sprucing up, but not terrible and may be reflected in the very affordable price. It is conveniently located to the harbour, shopping, and restaurants. Highly recommended for an affordable stay to see the sights in Port Alberni.

WARNING! Never staying here again! I was accused of having a dog staying in our room. Workers lying saying they asked if we had a dog, no one talked to us at all. I find out they kept adding more charges. Addicts are in and out, i didnt feel safe, run down building, outside looks like its abandoned.

We have stayed at this hotel before, and over the past two visits, we have noticed a steady decline in its quality. After receiving emails stating that the pool would be closed for a two-week maintenance period, we were looking forward to using the facilities. However, we were disappointed to find the bottom of the pool covered in algae. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but upon further inspection, our concerns were confirmed. Our room was okay, but we were unimpressed to find that it had not been made up and the towels had not been replaced. It is evident that this location is deteriorating, and we will be looking for other options in the future.

Hotel looked deserted

The hotel from the outside looked abandoned. Inside was ok, our bathroom ceiling looked moldy and damaged in places. The bathroom door was dirty. The mattress was comfortable, the heat / ac was newer and worked. It looks like new windiws have been installed, perhaps there are new owners doing improvements.
