Hotel has larger sized rooms and bathroom compared to typical Japanese sized hotels. Conveniently located above JR Nagoya station, there are plenty of food options and easy access everywhere in Nagoya via subway. Good for those who need to catch JR or Shinkansen out of Nagoya as well. Rooms are well appointed and not noisy at all. Housekeeping keeps things tidy and clean.

Need improvement

We always booked JR Gate Tower for our stay in Nagoya. Our stay were excellent in the past. This time we booked a room for 4 nights, the bathtub was blocked, the water didn't run through properly. Also, hot water wasn't provided at the sink properly. We had informed the Front Office, however the condition didn't improve.

Everything was great, but the only hangup is the laundry service where you have to bring your bag of dirty laundry down to the reception for cleaning and pick it up from there as well. Found it very strange as I’ve never had to do this is any hotel I’ve ever stayed in worldwide!
