Check in was a mess. The room was not very clean. Janitorial staff was rude. I have stayed here before with a positive experience. Not this time. The only positive was the restaurant and the car staff.

The Litchfield Inn is an updated older place. Our room was perfect for us, and the private screened in porch with rocking chairs just yards from the ocean was the best! It absolutely made our stay a great one! I appreciated the linens, full size fridge, microwave and cook top. It was quiet, the air conditioner was cold, and it wasn't overcrowded like it is at Myrtle Beach. The included breakfast isn't anything special, it's actually very basic, but it was free and we had ours every morning. There's an on-site restaurant for dining (we didn't partake) and plenty of restaurants just minutes away. The only downside was the parking, you don't get an assigned spot and we had to park across the street. However, the lack of traffic made it an effortless walk. I'll absolutely return to this hotel!!

Nice Couples getaway

We had a very nice experience with our room in the tower. The view was amazing and the convenience of stepping out onto the beach was great. The Inn is older, but our room was decent. Our sliding glass door probably needs to be updated soon, but other than that, everything was great.

The maid service just walked in with out knocking soon after check in which was a shock for us both, but she did apologize. Seconds soon and she would have have a show since I had just had changed into my swim wear. 😂 the dining and beach are great and the property is nice for the area. I’d love a hot tub on the property, but it was a great getaway.

My new go to spot for beach get away!

Staff was very nice and accommodating, property was well maintained. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Rooms were not lavish, but so many great areas on property, the rooms were really just to sleep and rest after having a great day out on beach. Beach was not crowded, and areas on property overlooking the beach was a great place to relax while enjoying the sunset and evening watching the waves.

I was told that i didn’t qualify for breakfast included because I booked it Expedia this was my 3rd visit but it will be my last time and will no longer use Expedia there were other issues such as stains on sheets i mentioned it to the staff their response was I will make a note of that nothing changed didn’t empty trash as I was told they would do as you can tell I am very disappointed

You are definitely paying for the Oceanside location/view. The rooms are individually owned (and rented) so each one is unique. We’ve stayed a few times now solely for the location. A few simple upgrades would go a long way towards improving the rooms. A kitchenette was available but no dish soap or towels? Appropriate sized lanai furniture would be a bonus. It’s a great location with a lovely view!

The most uncomfortable two night vacation ever

Book for 2 queen bed but one check in placed us in a 1 king size bed for a 3 person. The extra bed is useless because its keep on falling and safety is nit good. My daughter sleep in the coach. Second day transfer us in a 2 queen bed( thats what they say queen size is) with a size of a double bed. Their reason its what all resort and hotel queen size. Told the reception i have been to many hotels and resort but this is the first time to see a queen size that fit like a queen bed. Very uncomfortable. Both bed are making squeaky sound every time we move. I dont have sleep the entire night i have to give the bed to my husband so he can sleep since his driving home the following day.

Checkin staff super nice. They let us go to our room 3 hours early! WiFi didn’t work in room, few plugs for devices. Excellent ocean view and balcony. Pool area great, live music. Elevators run down. But I would definitely return!

Quiet, clean with all the amenities in one location. No need to leave the property if you don't want to. Restaurant, bar and 2 pools. One for the kids and 1 for the adults, nice touch. Easy parking well maintained older style hotel.

Great staff and great location just 50 steps from the beach. Was on vacation with two other couples and each of our rooms could have been mantained better, but they were working on this issue. The staff and the location made up for the minor cosmetic fixes, light not working, and phone not working.

Fine but don't set expectations too high

The property is not at its best but used to be a nice place to stay. We requested to move from the first room because the deadbolt didn't work and chain was broken. The next room was safer but the tub had some kind of gray scratches or substance in it but it was okay. The staff is SO nice though, can't say enough good about them. Overall the property is fine but don't set the bar too high.
