The staff is terrible. It took 57 minutes to check in. Trash was lining the hallways, everywhere after check in. The property is dirty, nasty & unclean. The bath towels have to be 20 years old. They feel like sand paper. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one.

Would stay again!

Amazing views! Really sweet staff but they were busy and only one person doing check in. Too many people smoking weed on their decks I had to keep my deck door closed … bummer but I guess if you smoke it won’t bug you. I would stay again for the location and price for sure. Place is run down but most places are in Myrtle but it was a cozy bed.

Check in is supposed to be 4PM , our room wasnt ready when we got there had to wait a hour in car with 3 kids. Seems like no rooms at all were cleaned for guest check in. Poorly managed or need more house keepers.

We chose this hotel because of the kitchenette. Once we arrived, we were told that there wasn’t enough cookware or utensils so we had to wait u til someone turned it in. It stated on their page that this would be available. We waited 3 days and had food to cook. After the third day of waiting, I had to buy some pans. Only to find that the stove does not work. We were told they would fix it in an hour and they never did for our stay. We also asked for housekeeping due to collecting too much trash and they never came once even though page said it was daily. Too much promise and never delivered. Didn’t even offer to change rooms. Not a great stay at all.

Not as advertised. Don’t fall for the pictures!!!

Rooms are outdated and not as clean as I thought it would be or based on pictures. Pools were dirty. There were cigarette buds everywhere including the pool. There are just stains everywhere. The carpets were just dirty. The kitchenette light did not work. Ice machine was there but it would’ve been nice if it worked but I probably still wouldn’t use it as dirty as it looked. Balcony had trash. I loved the view of the hotel rooms and the lobby. Loved the picnic area with grills.

Stayed at the Sandcastle several times, although it is clean and comfortable and reasonably priced for the beach area it is time for some upgrades and renovations. Our bathroom floor was buckled and the flooring was in need of replacement, the shower fixtures also needed some attention, the hair dryer didn't work but was replaced when we notified the front desk. The door to the balcony was difficult to operate and couldn't be locked (not really an issue our room was on the 11th floor). If you're looking for an reasonably priced room on the beach, I rate it a 3 out of 5, just don't expect a 5 star hotel. The Staff was friendly and outdoor facilities were clean.

We had a great day and the stay was good.The resort needs to work on their cleaniness in the rooms and around the pools. I stepped on a piece of glass at the indoor hot tub area .but other than that we had a great stay 😁

Worst hotel stay!!

Unless this hotel does renovations top to bottom and hire good staff, don't bother staying there. It's a shame because the location and views are amazing.

The rooms are normally priced at $38 a night was charged $680 for two rooms for two nights the whole hotel smells like goodwill the check in line was extremely long and we waited almost 45mins to check in the hallways are gross af the elevators are rusty and smell like pee the rooms are creepy af and old I wiped the rooms with disinfectant wipes and all of them were black af from dirt if they hadn’t already charged my card I would’ve slept in car I had to sleep across the bottom of the bed because the top of bed had a musty smell the toilet was yellow and chipped and tv was off the wall and holes in the wall luckily it had no bugs tho I was glad when I finally got home because as soon I opened my door I hit with a fresh smell finally the only good thing is the location steps from the beach and the views of the sunrise made the suffering worth it
