We had a great stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shampoo holder in the shower was broken off of the shower wall and there’s not shelf to sit anything, so it was challenging to juggle everything.
Also, we paid extra for a king bed room and was given a room with 2 queen beds.
From the outside and the lobby, the hotel looks promising—but unfortunately, that's where the positives mostly end. It quickly becomes clear that the renovation was done on a tight budget, more like putting on makeup over an old structure.
As soon as you enter the elevator and head to the rooms, you’re hit with a strong smoke/weed smell, which really set the tone. The rooms look newly updated at first glance, but there are obvious issues:
Broken flooring
Ripped baseboards
An old, noisy AC unit
No fans or actual doors in the bathroom
No proper door locks for the room
It feels like this used to be a cheaper hotel that was bought out and only partially renovated under a big brand name.
That said, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they did seem to be working hard to keep things clean and organized. The location is decent, though it’s a bit far from restaurants and the beach, and right next to the highway, which adds to the noise.
For the price paid, the overall experience just didn’t deliver. Would not stay here again unless major improvements are made.
The hotel looked like it was falling apart. The rooms were not clean. The door would not shut. The door was broken and the room smelled like cat litter.
Water leaking in lobby and hall way an had to take cold showers. They didnt even offer a different room and inly had 19 guests total. Phone didnt workvso had to keep goingvtobthe lobby
The room smelled just like marijuana the hallways smelled like mildew the front desk clerk was rude and not helpful the last night I slept in my car I couldn’t take it
Elevator was broken in a six story hotel! Hot tube was closed because of poop in the water and staff would not clean it. Clients on our floor were swearing and yelling till 2 am and no response from staff. Overall it was a horrible stay! We’ve used La Quinta for years and I can’t believe how bad it has gotten. We won’t use them anymore….ever!

Smells nasty and unclean.
Fridge did not work.
Elevator broke and was not operable for 2 days
When we arrived, the bikers had overcrowded the whole hotel, there weren't any rooms available. We were told by Phyllis that we'd receive a full refund & go elsewhere!

You get what you pay for. Overall, the hotel isn’t really maintained well but the hotel was good for 1 night. Listed as a smoke free hotel but the hallways and elevator reeked of smoke. The lock on our door was halfway broken.
The room I was in tv didn’t work the first night, however it was replaced the next day. Once reported. The water didn’t get that hot. Also it was not a lot of options for breakfast.
