From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. It made us really feel at home. Richard Winkler at reception was fantastic and I wish every hotel had someone like him to greet people! He was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us enjoy Munich even more.
The hotel has a very good incentive to stay environmentally friendly by providing a 10 Euro voucher (as of the time of writing) instead of getting housekeeping. I believe it was per night (we only stayed 2 nights so not entirely sure whether was applicable per night stay).
I stayed in a comfort twin room with 2 single beds. The room was probably a bit too small for 2 people but we managed, the same can be said of the bathroom. The drinks in the mini-bar were free and contained alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can get free coffee and tea by the reception area and they were of a good quality.
The breakfast area was of a decent size and had large desks to accommodate groups. During my time there, not many people were around, so I cannot say how it would be like if lots of visitors were around. The food options were not the best for vegetarians but sufficient for non-veggies.
King’s Hotel is a 5–6-minute walk from the main Munich station, so is very conveniently located. All the main sites are within walking distance and easy to get to.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and a special shout out for Richard Winkler who was brilliant.
