The lobby was nice, modern. The pool area was mostly clean (aside from a significant ant problem). The property was very run-down. The elevator did not work--and I was not told ahead of time (or even upon check-in); our room was on the 2nd floor, therefore I had to lug a heavy suitcase upstairs. The room I was given had a mini-fridge in desperate need of a defrost, it wasn't working properly. The a/c unit wasn't turning on and the phone didn't work. I had to go downstairs to request a room change. The person at the desk was very polite, got me changed right away. The room I was moved to was down the hall and was comparable to the first room except the fridge did work better and the a/c was already running. There was an ant problem in the bathroom of my new room though. Also, it seemed the room hadn't been viewed by staff in quite a while, there was a spider happily living its best life in a floor corner of the entranceway (of course I left it to live, it was a completely harmless roommate). Even though the a/c was set as cold as it would go, I couldn't sleep well whatsoever--it was HOT all night in the room. When I went to check out the next morning, there was no one at the desk, so I waited......and waited......then I noticed the Nespresso machine and decided to get myself a coffee and my daughter a hot cocoa. While brewing the second drink, a staff member came out and checked me out (he was nice enough). The cocoa ended up being dirty water. Overall, 2 out of 5 stars :(
