The location is amazing as you’re truly in the center of many points of interests, especially to the Old Montreal and Port (5 mins walk), the Underground, Notre Dame (literally across the street), and more. It’s also close to Chinatown which is about a 10 min walk and easily walkable to places like Eaton Centre which about 20 mins or so. Accommodations are comfortable and we found our room to be spacious and clean. The hotel is also connected to Kyo Restaurant (Japanese) and Brasserie 701, so you don’t even have to step outside to enjoy these restaurants. All in all, a pleasant stay and we will definitely consider staying here again.

Amazing stay at Hotel Place d’Armes! Fantastic staff, great food, and central location in old Montreal make this an absolute gem! There is construction across the street but shut down well before sleeping! Definite stay there again!

The staff was pleasant and as helpful as they could be, but there were snafus, especially in having the room ready and in arranging dining reservations. One restaurant, the Brasserie, was especially nice with both service and the variety and quality of the food. The 2nd (basement/Japanese) was a great disappointment. The sushi is to be avoided at all costs. Breakfast room service was quickly provided. The desk staff and valet staff were also very pleasant and accomodating. The valet car parking was smoothly handled and there was a transportation service for nearby areas upom request.

Rooms are beautiful. The location is excellent just steps away from the Cathedral in the old part of town. The only negative is that the elevator for my block of rooms was shared with the building staff (there was no service elevator) so it was very hard to get a free elevator given their carts would take the whole elevator preventing guests from sharing.

The hotel is very convenient, we had a Junior Suite and we were satisfied with the room itself. Unfortunately we were subject to a band and a constant beat from a wedding reception below our room. The hotel was aware of this concern from previous guests but continue to book that room. Not sure if this room was saved for us due to booking through Expedia? Regardless no customer should have to experience the noise we did for hours in to the evening and especially a four star hotel. I did speak to a manager and he was very cordial.
