Very clean and comfortable room. Easy check-in and check out. Friendly and available staff. The staff helped me with the extra time I had to mind before my train out. Also, I loved the Cafe Origine beside the hotel. Best coffee in that neighbourhood. Fresh baked pastries every morning. Charming youthful vibe. The location is in walking distance to old Montreal, Chinatown and Saint Catherine's nightlife. Mile End is a bit more of a walk away but worth it! Maybe not in winter, though. Best to head straight for Saint Catherine's just south of the hotel for late evening dining or walking, as it seemed to always be lively with lots of options. At night, Sherbrooke and areas north and east were darker and quieter and I didn't enjoy walking there so much. As in all cities, the homeless population is visible and they actively panhandle. It made me uncomfortable a couple of times. This isn't the fault of the hotel but it was enough to make me have several discussions with family and friends on the necessity of long-term solutions to homelessness. I loved their Chinatown. Very cute little strip of restaurants, shops and bubble tea cafes. My favourite was the Coco bakery -- not the same as the Coco bubble tea franchise - altho the bakery also sold bubble tea. Best mochis i have ever had - except the durian flavoured one. They also had the Lanzhou hand-pulled noodle restaurant which was good too!

The staff was friendly and helpful when I requested to change rooms for the second night of my stay. The change was requested due to noisy neighbours in the room next to ours. They also responded quickly when I reported that the pocket door on the bathroom wasn’t sliding properly.

Hotel was okay. Service was slow and although it was valet parking only, there was only one attendant and you need to leave your car parallel parked on the side on a busy and narrow street. Location did not feel safe and the area only had limited food options. Would not recommend staying in this location.
